Sorry for the double-post

04/26/2018 - 4:32pm Here is mine

Not based on recruiting but on coaching the talent on roster.

1.  Mike Kryzweski

2. Tony Bennett

3. Jay Wright

4.  John Beilein

5.  Mark Few

6.  Gregg Marshall

7.  John Calipari

8.  Bob Huggins

9.  BIll Self

10. Chris Mack

Izzo  and Roy Williams would be in the next level.  Izzo has had lots of talent on his roster in recent years, but does not seem to have a semblance of an offensive scheme.  Roy Williams is just a cheerleader on the bench and seems to be just rolling the ball out in practice. I think Roy was a much better coach while he was at Kansas.

03/31/2018 - 9:55pm Kansas plays as individuals

Villanova plays as a team.  It looks like Self has put a talented team on the floor, they just don't play together on offense.  They seem to be undisciplined on defense.  If Kansas defense doesnt play much better this game is already over.

02/28/2018 - 7:52pm Is Iowa coach

Fran Mccaffery the father of Dr. Strange?

02/28/2018 - 7:10pm good defensive position

gets elbow to the face and a foul called on him.  Intentional or not an elbow to the face is at least a personal.

02/24/2018 - 4:41pm RIdgefeild Park New Jersey

We went to NYC a few years ago and stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn at Ridgefield Park.  Hotel was nice and there was a bus stop at the road outside the hotel.

01/01/2018 - 4:21pm I totallyagree about the Defense.

They seem to fade in most games.  I fear that we have a mediocre culture on our team.  The longer it goes on the more ingrained it becomes.  Maybe Harbaugh can't break us out of it.

12/30/2017 - 9:44pm Richt should

have been kicked out of game for contact with official.

12/30/2017 - 8:22am It doesn't matter

If the BIG goes undefeated they make an obligatory nod on sportscenter and that will be the end of it.  Just like the BIG vs ACC basketball challenge, when the BIG won 5 in a row they got very little mention.  Now that the ACC has won the last two, they just gush over them.

ESPN has an agenda (SEC) and that is all that they want to push.  Just watch if either Georgia or Alabama win the NC, and see how the SEC gets praised and the rest of the bowl season won't matter.

12/01/2017 - 8:32pm Hi Mr. Yost

Thanks for the game thread.

09/24/2017 - 4:32pm They were hosed

Lions got jobbed

09/21/2017 - 8:40pm Do you think Temple's former coach

Would rather be coaching at Temple than Baylor?

09/21/2017 - 8:35pm Ugh Galloway

The other two announcers are ok.  Galloway has to monopolize all conversations with mindless drivel.

09/16/2017 - 9:19pm Harbaugh has always had good to great QB play

Look at Jake Rudock his first year.  Jake was really bad at times in the first few games.  Then things clicked and he was great.  The underlying issue is QB talent.  J. Okorn looks out of control when he is on the field.  Brandon Peters is just a redshirt freshman.  So Speight is the reasonable option.  The problem is he is not very good at ths point.  If things don't change then we will lose games (like last year) that we should win.  You cannot coach a guy to be better than he has potential for.

I am hoping Speight either gets it or the coaches dumb down the play book to make the game easier for him.

09/13/2017 - 9:26pm IU won before most people

paid attention to soccer.

09/13/2017 - 9:19pm Indiana is dirty

They push and hack and then fake for the calls.  I hate that part of soccer.

09/10/2017 - 4:18pm So a hard tackle is now an unneccessary roughness?

Wow, the NFL is struggling.  Davis slammed the guy hard but no hit to head.  I shouldn't be shocked but that seems odd to me.

09/09/2017 - 6:08pm He is who we think he is.

I appreciate and will continue to root for Wilton to have a great year.  Seems like a great kid.  However, this team will only go as far as he can take us.  The box score stats don't look bad, but there is more to it than that.  The continual drive killing plays is what kills us.  Speight continues to overthrow open receivers, fumble the ball, struggle with clean handoffs,

From watching him throw, it looks like he is aiming the ball instead of throwing it.  I think he is truly afraid to make a mistake, which makes him make more mistakes.  I believe he reads the defense well,  but a slow release wrecks his timing of getting it to the receiver while they are still open.  Speight will be fine if he ever gets the confidence and plays without fear.  Hopefullly that happens sooner than later.

09/07/2017 - 9:08pm Penn State schedule

Does Penn State ever play a good team out of conference?  I still think they are frauds.

08/08/2017 - 7:20pm Florence Griffith Joyner?

Could you tell me what you know about her?  I know that her times were out of this world, but did she fail tests, or is it just your belief that she was cheating?  I really have not heard of her involvement with PED's, so I am not judging you, just asking.

08/03/2017 - 10:19pm Hotel and rental

Was there 4 years ago.  We stayed at the homewood suites in Brisbane.  They had a shuttel from the airport.  I believe there shuttel also took us to the closest bart station.

07/05/2017 - 7:11pm Agree that Cavendish went down on his own

However,

If that is the case then how do they punish Sagan at all?  Cavendish came from behind and put his head and shoulders on Sagan's back lost balance and crashed.  To me it looked like Sagan's elbow was more of a reaction to the contact and not a purposeful move.  Also, how could Sagan know that Cavendish was even there in the first place in order to block since he was ahead.  I have seen Cavendish use his upper body in a similar fashion and crashed a guy. I don't believe a penalty was warranted.

11/28/2016 - 6:44pm Wow. The BIG is absurd

The first memory to me is the Lantry FG and schools voting for OSU to go to the Rose Bowl in stead of us.  Then the constant garbage that we have witnessed throughout.  It really annoys that we give but never get anything in return from this conference.  When Harbaugh went to satellite camps the SEC commish complains and no support from BIG commish. I also never heard Delaney going to bat for Michigan in the 2006 NC Game. They fill the BIG network with OSU players and then ask them about Harbaugh's whining.  I want to know what we get for our loyalty to this conference?

I don't care that they fined Harbaugh for 10k, but not to include the admission on poor official vetting on their part is inexcusable.  This demonstrates their attitude that this relationship is one way and you just have to take what they dish out.  I don't want to see Harbaugh sour on college coaching and I don't want to see the M football team get trashed because of this.  Delaney needs his powers severely curtailed.

11/26/2016 - 6:04pm Next year's team

will beat all of the weak teams on the schedule and lose to OSU and a couple others.  Best case is 2 loss team.  I think we end up with 3-4 losses.

11/26/2016 - 5:06pm Not a Wilton Speight fan

two interceptions plus the fumble cost 21 points.  We were not able to overcome his poor play.  Overall, the defense was fine.  It looks like at least two more years of losing to OSU before we have a real chance to beat them.  We lose most of our starters and have a weak QB and OL to deal with.  This sucks

11/20/2016 - 7:58am OSU is being picked

because of past success.  OSU has an offense that consists of two players getting 40-50 runs combined and one rb/slot player getting a dozen touches.  They have not demonstrated a passing attack since early on in the season.  We have our own problems on Offense, however, our defense has been very good.  In our one loss we only gave up 14 points.  I think we match up very well against OSU.  I love that everyone is overlooking us right now.

11/05/2016 - 9:39pm Danielson

Gary can be an excellent commentator when he wants to.  However, he has chosen favoritism over objectivity.  The LSU QB slid and got hit in the back of his helmet by an Alabama defender's forearm.  All Danielson could say was that was a tough football hit.  He is so inconsistent when it comes to hyping his favorite SEC team.

11/05/2016 - 6:55pm Maryland team on the rise

I think Durkin is doing a good job.  Maryland got torched today, but they look like a real team.  They just lack talent at this point.  I think they will become a tough team in the coming years.  What do you all think?

10/07/2016 - 4:07pm M 41 - 13 R

Offense gets running game going.  Sloppy field makes for a lower score than would be.

06/25/2016 - 10:30pm Maybe the new Brazil coach should do that too!

I agree that our fundamentals must improve.  Zardes has too many bad touches, but he is young and athletic enought to make up for some of it.  Some of the older players that make bad plays like Bradley need to go.  I can see the next MNT with 3-5 different starters from tonights team, and all of them are young promising players.  We just need to develop a mercurial player to be better on the world stage.

06/25/2016 - 10:11pm Step off the ledge

This team is far from perfect, but Columbia is #3 ranked team in the world and we played them evenly, with poor officiating at that.  I like our young talent and that is a reflection on JK building a team.

05/04/2016 - 7:24pm Beilein weaknesses

I agree that it is good to get assistants that have strengths were the HC has weak spots. However, Beilein sets the tone and emphasizes what is important to him.  The defense will continue to be a struggle and standard post play as well.  I really like coach Beilein, but he is not a good defensive coach, and seems to neglect the post play on both sides.

01/04/2015 - 7:51pm The punt would

have been unnecessary had the call stood. The Lions did not get a break with Suh. The NFLPA held the league accountable to prove their case and they backed down. That was a game-changing call and should have never happened.

01/04/2015 - 7:22pm Wow.

Now I remember why my NFL viewing is almost zero.  That was one of the most obvious penalty calls you will ever see.

10/26/2014 - 10:30pm So Hoke kind of knows

they had the stake yesterday.  But now the blame is on the misguided players.  Yep, Hoke is a good guy looking out for his players.

10/26/2014 - 10:24pm Yes

This was definitely not worthy of a press release.  Why does BH feel the need to bow to Dantonio?  His nature seems to be to show preference to his superiors.

10/26/2014 - 3:59pm You're probably right about stomping on his grave.

However, just because he is a bad coach that loves Michigan and says a lot of "campy" phrases makes him a good guy?  I am not saying he is a bad guy, but what makes him a good guy?

I think the guy that demands the players be men and play that way is a good guy.  A man that does that isn't always liked but definitely respected.  Brady seems to want to be the players pal, and that just doesn't work out.  He also, seems to look the other way and lie about it when things blow up (stake gate)

I don't know what to think about BH off the field, but I do know that he should be replaced sooner than later.

10/23/2014 - 5:31pm Does this mean

it never existed, or that it doesn't currently exist?  Was it deleted?  I hope it wasn't made up by WD.

10/20/2014 - 8:24pm But what is our current scheme?

I honestly am not sure.  At times they will get DG out of pocket and others they don't.  They really don't seem committed to anything this year like last year.

10/20/2014 - 6:16pm Huh, what?

I have no idea what was said other than we practiced hard.  Is Peppers practicing or not?  He watched film of state's defense, and he saw they play hard and execute.  SMH

10/18/2014 - 11:33pm I agree.

They do have a good chance to win west.  East is incredibly difficult, even if B10 is down.

10/18/2014 - 8:03pm Other than W/L

what makes Minnesota a "really good" team?

Minnesota 42 East Illinois 20

Minnesota 35 Middle Tennessee 24

Minnesota 7 TCU 30

Minnesota 24 San Jose St. 7

Minnesota 30 Michigan 14

Minnesota 24 Northwestern 17

Minnesota 39 Purdue 38

Winning is obviously better than losing, but there is nothing in their resume that makes me think they are really good.

10/18/2014 - 5:29pm Serious question:

Who decides to go for it or punt on fourth downs?  Does Hoke ever say anything?  How about punt blocks, or long field goals?  Just curious.

10/18/2014 - 5:26pm Bart Starr called the offensive plays

And the MLB was responsible for calling defensive plays back then.  Lombardi was totally engaged, and that was done by verbal communication throughout the game.  He yelled, he talked, he corrected, he asked... All I see Hoke do is clap and praise.

10/18/2014 - 5:05pm Are you saying that Bo never gave

negative feedback to a player coming off?  Ripping into a player is showing displeasure for the mistake, while coaching is telling him he messed up and how to fix it.  I never see Hoke give anything other than positive reinforcement when they come off, and that approach doesn't work well.

10/18/2014 - 5:01pm Is playcalling jibber jabber ?

What about deciding to go for it on 4th down, who makes that decision?  Is Hoke involved in that?

10/18/2014 - 4:59pm Delegation was just one part of

what was described.  Do you think Les is disengaged in what is going on also?

10/12/2014 - 1:15pm Why?

He is just basing it on Hoke's previous pressers.  Hoke is famous for non answers, so it shouldn't be a surprise when journalists get a bit snarky.

10/12/2014 - 12:46pm Yep. Let's hush dissent.

I hope DB and Hoke stay for next year too.

10/10/2014 - 8:21pm That's not exactly correct Ramona

I don't recall any posters ripping you for saying that you were attending the game.  I do remember how you kept injecting yourself in other posts though.  Could you show an example of the "hatred" you experienced from that post?
