11/17/2017 - 7:07pm 35-10 Michigan!

Brandon Peters lights up the Badgers and the referees actually call pass interference.

35-10 Go Blue!

10/17/2017 - 12:09am Colin is an Ass

He just tosses out stuff.

Bill Moos to Nebraska from Washington State may be the domino that starts everything moving. After spending like a drunken sailor at WSU, he may buy out Riley and go looking. Meanwhile, who wants to work with Leach?

10/16/2017 - 11:46pm Like Basketball,

often 4 and 5 stars in football leave early. Imagine if everyone stayed that could from last year.

Setting up a pro-style team requires players to develop football IQ. Right now we have have young players and an experienced group of coaches that are working on it. It is a rebuilding year and expectations need to be kept real.

Anyone that advocates Harbaugh leave is a troll, a fool, or both.

10/15/2017 - 2:58am How far will the Huskies drop?

Michigan dropped 10 spots last week, how far will WA and WSU drop?

10/08/2017 - 2:29am The Team...

The Team, The Team, The Team.

They lost. I love Michigan Football and what it stands for. I will be rooting for them every Saturday for as long as I am around.

Stick it out!

10/08/2017 - 2:19am We lost a starting QB and put

We lost a starting QB and put in the backup in a rainstorm and he sucked--I get it.

It is a tough loss--I get that, too. But for gawd's sake grow up! The team has an insanely good defense recruited by Harbaugh. I hate to lose to State. But I remember the RR days and guess what? Things happen.

But your definition of "peer" is whacked out. Calm down and watch the recruiting continue to ramp up. We'll do fine.

09/28/2017 - 10:06pm Nice job as usual

Thanks for the excellent work.

09/25/2017 - 12:45am Take the Helmet

At HS games I've been at lately, kid gets hit in the head, the sports med crew takes their helmet until they are checked. Can't get back in without it

09/24/2017 - 9:03pm Gotta like the QB situation

Having quality QBs that can step in and play is a luxory many teams not named Georgia have. Ask Jimbo. I believe we have 3 servicable QBs that can play.

I'm not ready to go with such a small sample yet as far as O'Korn. The playbook looked very simple for him this time and he did well. Maybe he can use more of it with a couple weeks of practice. I think the coaches will see.

Speight has been pounded by defences that were abetted by an O-line that needs improvement. Has the beating changed him? Not sure, but I'd be gun shy, too. He needs protection to be a game manager.

Being lighter on his feet, O'Korn can mitigate some of the O-line weakness, but he will still get hit. If Purdue is hitting him--then Everybody will be hitting him. I wish we had a left-handed QB  like Morris to lean on the other side of the line.

09/24/2017 - 12:13pm Hoping Speight is okay

I think we all agree the O-line needs to be better & running backs need to block better.

In what I have seen of the Harbaugh World, the mistakes will provide many learning opportunities. Kids will be getting coached up these next 2 weeks.

Looking forward to a tighter knit O-line after they work on the weaknesses. At this point in the season, the strength and conditioning takes a back seat to honing football smarts. I think they can do it.

We are lucky to be able to lean on the D while the O finds the way.

09/21/2017 - 10:05pm A well coached Michigan defense

will be disciplined and play well. There might be some tom-foolery from Purdue, but I predict pain for the Boiler-Makers.

Speight will have his best game and running backs will be catching passes for big gains.

Go Blue

09/20/2017 - 9:50pm Takes me back

Used to work for Eric when he had his first little tiny store on Liberty: "Second Serve"

Hired me off the street (a 17 year-old kid) after talking sports with him. He was a catalog model for tennis clothes and suits. Bought my first pair of Rod Laver's there.

Long time ago--before Nike started rolling.

09/15/2017 - 9:03pm Just Split Michigan State And OSU

Just Split Michigan State And OSU so one is home, the other away, and I'm happy.

09/15/2017 - 8:32pm 47-17 Go Blue!

47-17 Go Blue!

09/14/2017 - 11:53pm It's the cut blocks...

It is the cut/chop blocks that worry me.

Knee braces for everyone.

09/14/2017 - 11:22pm Your work is excellent.

I appreciate the hell out of the work you do.

Thanks!

08/31/2017 - 2:59am it won't be close

42-20

Go Blue!

07/20/2017 - 2:47pm Reasons for Fairbank's "The Black Pirate"

1. Silent and Color- it was one of the first color films(3rd or 4th?).

2. A little rougher than the films of the times

3. It's a PIRATE movie FerGawdsSake!

From the New York Times review:

"This is a production which marks another forward stride
for the screen, one that the boy and his mother will enjoy
and one that is a healthyentertainment
 for men of all ages."

01/17/2017 - 1:57am Hmmm... I wonder

I wonder what Earnest Byner is doing?

11/20/2016 - 7:49pm Lefties change everything.

I can see Harbaugh starting him just to flip the field.

Maybe I'm crazy, But on a clear football day in Columbus, I feel pretty good about all of our QBs.

11/20/2016 - 7:44pm The Team is still Solid.

If Speight is out things will need to be different, but we have a solid team.

I'm not down on O'Korn's passing against IU, that weather was nasty, I'm just not sure he can stretch the field yet. Maybe a week of work under Harbaugh will bring that.  He does have some speed but needs more protection and time to see the holes--the game may slow down for him a bit now.

I also think that tight end play will become crucial next week, especially if the weather plays hell with long passes. I'm looking forward to crazy multiple tight end formations against OSU in a wet, snowy, sloppy game.

Looking forward to getting the Monkey off our backs.

Who knows? Maybe it will be 9-3 again.

We have the defense to do it.

11/11/2016 - 8:24pm MIch 48- IA 14

MIch 48- IA 14

A late garbage score (or 2)

11/11/2016 - 7:56pm At Iowa, Change is incremental.

It was designed that way by ex-Michigan coach Bump Elliot. Steady, Steady, Steady.

The 12 win season really has done more damage to the vanilla expectations of Iowa fans; They have been to the Mountain (well, almost) and a return to flucuating between below average to above average is now difficult.

We will add to their problems Saturday.

11/11/2016 - 6:30pm Crowd will be crazy...

...until the game nears halftime. Then they will start to evaporate.

That is a crazy stadium for teams to play in. The crowd is right on top of the players. Good experience for the team dealing with a loud, hostile crowd.

Watch for Coach Harbaugh and players to have some "Fan Interaction" Video hilites.

Whoa--I meant "J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach Jim Harbaugh"

Sorry

11/09/2016 - 1:05am I want to believe

that it was all about returning for rehab or to vacuum out the knee.

Had a meniscus "trim" last week--surgery took 25 minutes.

Can't imagine what would keep him in that long.

Would really like to see him back.

09/27/2016 - 6:57pm In Madison in 1981

With Wiscy friends at the game. As was the Wisconsin way--Everyone drinking and partying and not all that suprised that the Badgers were ahead because: "Michigan will come back and destroy us, they always do."

As the clock ran down however, it began to dawn on some of the more sober ones that they might actually, possibly beat Michigan!  This threw them into complete confusion because they didn't know what to do. No one had anticipated this happening and thus had no plan in case of victory.

After the game was over,  it was replayed again on local tv--I went outside and played football with the neighborhood kids.

11/28/2015 - 5:25pm Hurry up offense vs little depth

The use of the hurry-up will kill a team that is thin at talent. OSU learned from Indiana and had the horses to keep pounding our line. The difference between OSU's 1st & 2nd string (and maybe even the 3rd) is a fine line, at Michigan there is a much greater difference and it showed.

Ohio State kept our defense on the field and between Barrett and Elliot, they exploited the match-ups. Kept 'em on the field and pounded 'em.

Sadly, our O-line doesn't match-up with a deep, talented OSU defense, YET. So opening holes for our backs just didn't happen.

I think laying off the coaches would be smart right now. Harbaugh will build that second string and be ready next year.

Those of you selling your tickets or advocating firing somebody: Shut the hell up and learn about the game or go jump on somebody's bandwagon.
