You can't make this stuff up...

09/06/2017 - 2:11pm The current rule is in place...

The current rule is in place to keep schools from more actively recruiting kids from other teams - if you don't have this (sit out) rule it will be crazy.

08/11/2017 - 12:51pm Comcast

I am for anythng that leads to the demise of Comcast/Xfinity - my least favorite company on earth.

People are only willing to pay to watch live sports (and the commercials).  Everything else is watched on-demand - so you are ticked and screwed so they always have you in a bad spot.

I am now to the point, if I didn't have to watch FIS alpine skiing in morning (Outdoor Channel and NBCS) I would dump cable and go to  a bar to watch UM football.

Recently, I locked in a three-year deal, with all my hardware, with Comcast.  My rate was NEVER to change.  Six months later it went up.  I called to remind them I had this contract and owned all the hardware so asked how it could go up?  They replied the sports package (which is the only one people need) was not part of the contract.  Never mentioned to me no mater how many times I asked, "so my bill will never change for three years?", during the procurement process.

Anything that leads to the end of Comcast I can support.

08/10/2017 - 2:26pm Non UM Games I will attend this year...

Valpo Univ @ Univ of Montana 9/2

Univ of Rochester @ CMU 9/9

11/26/2016 - 7:05pm Should have gone for 2 pts in OT

Odds are better than going back into OT, on the road, on offense first (giving OSU four downs to keep game alive).  Also keeps game out of refs hands.

I suspect many stories will involve weddings...

I was engaged to my (now) wife. Her cousins were getting married in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Venue had no TV's.

I pretended to be sick so I could "rest" in the car and hear the end of the Penn State game - and of course heard Chad Henne to Mario Manningham TD. Of course, after that catch I was fine.

My wife knew I was faking illness once she saw the highlights in the morning. Have other similar stories, most involve weddings.

When I got married I had but two rules for my wife when choosing a date 1) don’t hijack people’s long weekends with our wedding and 2) we are not getting married during football season.

04/18/2016 - 9:26pm 711 Hope

My wife had same question once running from Hyatt (now Sheraton) at 711 Hope.

The front desk person looked at her like she was crazy to even think about it.

10/21/2015 - 1:53pm Valpo Bball very good this year.

BBall this year may be by similar margin if they meet in March.

Bryce Drew has very good Mens Basketball team this year at Valpo.

10/11/2015 - 7:59pm May not be on market long...

...most have him now going to Rudy.  Anyone think UM has a shot at him?

12/15/2014 - 6:18pm Great profile image

11/01/2014 - 12:09pm Can do better

Looked like clown last year at NWU - wearing purple tie, high-fiving field hockey team, jumping around like a ref on the FG.  I like the names Long and Bates much better.  Of course, I would get "input" from UM alums - especially ones who are head coaches in the NFL right now.

10/31/2014 - 5:18pm JH

I wil take day off to watch Jim Harbaugh's press conference.  I haven't taken a day off other than holidays for years.  That says enough for me.

10/19/2013 - 7:11pm Onside kick please

Onside kick please

09/15/2013 - 10:31am Correct

This post is spot on...

I will also add whenever UM loses an important recruit (particularly DB's) we like to say "no worries, we are Michigan. We will get someone else". That "someone else" has not exactly taken us to the Promised Land.

09/14/2013 - 1:55pm Michigan is losing to Akron...say it slowly...unreal

Michigan is losing to Akron...say it slowly...unreal

09/14/2013 - 1:35pm With you.  Of course now we

With you.  Of course now we may need the 2s and 3s to win the game rather than to just see what they can do.  Unreal.

09/14/2013 - 1:10pm Can't run like we want to.

Can't run like we want to.  DG is not quite who we want him to be.

Ways away from running downhill like we want.  Two more pics and I would put in Morris.

09/13/2013 - 9:37pm 49ers

Hope they don't go after 49ers coach.

09/09/2013 - 8:33am WR

Agree.  Imagine what it could be like when we have 2-3 WR's and even more RB's.  Of course, the QB's may not be a mobile.

08/29/2013 - 1:16pm TD Billy Taylor, TD Billy Taylor, TD Billy Taylor.

Great stuff.  Thank you for posting.

02/04/2013 - 7:39pm Wrigley

Don't fool yourself...tix will be much hard at 3600 N than at Ryan Field.  Much more demand...of course the bars right outside may be best.

I wonder if th ebars charge a steep cover if they ever had OSU or UM playing NWU in that setting.

02/03/2013 - 10:50am Weiss

Laxalum is correct.  Still a UM student but not playing Lacrosse.  I spoke with a parent of one of his former teamates at Ajax, NC.

Weiss is still a UM student, just has "other priorities" (my words not his).

01/27/2013 - 3:14pm Yep

Yep.  That was done deal when he switched dates - as I said earlier in the week.  Any other outcome would have been a huge surprise.

01/21/2013 - 11:19am Likely he commits to ND...

...that is how these things play out.

They will say if he wants a spot he has to commit now and show how much they have used TE's over the last decade.

Hope I am wrong but for folks who follow this the above is the likely scenario.

01/15/2013 - 10:22pm Buffalo is 716, Rochester is 585

Buffalo is 716, Rochester is 585...unless that is what you meant.

11/03/2012 - 8:44am Brass Rat

Nice shot of the MIT ring in this photo.

10/31/2012 - 2:02pm DD

Question on balance of class....

Is the relationship with David Dawson impossible to repair?  Seems so but also seems like there could be an inroad or two to connect with him via Cass Tech coaches or teamates.

Thank you.

10/14/2012 - 2:10pm DD

This is why you never want to have a "favorite commit". That sucks.  Big loss.  Love the ratioanlization that we go through - big loss.

Hope his parents like the flights down to FL rather than the 45 minutre drive to his games.

One a commit stats chirping about other visits it usually ends up this way - just a matter of how fast.  Hope we get someone good to replace him.

09/27/2012 - 6:51pm Saturdays with me are always fun...

....bring your liver.

08/29/2012 - 7:10am T-shirt

There is a Michigan version of this shirt also.  "Rather shower at Penn State than be a fan of Ohio State".  Someone sent to me yesterday.

04/13/2012 - 7:17am How can you make a commercial

How can you make a commercial about Ann Arbor and not have just a flash of the winged helmet or team running out in front of 110K?

04/10/2012 - 5:35pm Hart

Mike Hart was great.

I thought he would play as a freshman when he committed.  I KNEW he would play when I heard the coaches commit on his blocking ability early in camp.

03/24/2012 - 9:31pm SY

One would think Sam Young's development there would prevent any >= 4* from every going there - ever.  The world needs accountants too I guess.

03/19/2012 - 11:12am My theory...

I think Ty was aloof when he visited AA.  If he had given off a better vibe about coming to UM the coaches would be slow pedaling the other RB’s.

Since he did not commit or give a “I am close to committing” type feeling Hoke is moving forward.  So there are two options in my mind, Ty calls and commits or UM loses its positioning with him as they get other RB’s.

I want Ty but he needs to commit and get “all in”.

03/17/2012 - 8:55pm We have room for Ty..but I don't think he has the guts to commit

He should have pulled trigger last week.

03/17/2012 - 8:51pm Ty Isaac likely doesn't have the guts to commit now

Ty Isaac likely doesn't have the guts to commit now .  Too bad, he should have pulled the trigger last weekend.

03/15/2012 - 11:42am Ty

I will be more interested in this once he commits.  Going anywhere but UM makes no sense but I am sure everyone at his school is ensuring he gives ND a look. That is just how it works.

03/06/2012 - 11:17pm F*ck. Crap.

F*ck.  Crap. Life sucks

03/04/2012 - 1:48pm I don't think Ben commits.

I don't think Ben commits.  That said, if his brothers attend the Ivy League I don't think he is going to give up rank at the dinner table by attending O$U.  His brothers should know the difference between a Michigan degree and one from OSU or BGSU.

02/26/2012 - 10:40pm 32 reps

is my personal best at 225 lbs.  Of course I weigh 185 and am older.  You peak in strength a little older than 22.

01/01/2012 - 2:17pm Missing him would suck.  40

Missing him would suck.  40 year mistake if he goes to ND.

01/01/2012 - 2:47am I am betting he ends up at

I am betting he ends up at Stanford.

12/31/2011 - 12:29pm Picture

For the record, your photo with Gainsborough's Blue Boy is classic.  I wish I thought of that.

12/31/2011 - 12:22pm Anyone who waits this long enjoys and becomes part of the game..

...not sure that is a great sign.  Or a bad one for that matter.

For the record, I am wearing a Montana Griz shirt today and am about to buy a ski pass in Whitefish, MT.

Go Blue.

12/12/2011 - 8:28pm Bell Curve...

Agree with you....the more stars the more certain they are to land in the middle of th ebell curve for panning out.  A 2 star can make - but not as certain.  I trust stars given everything else because of this probability view.  I trust the coaches once the person is a clear starter as a soph or JR.

12/12/2011 - 6:09pm Does not have character to be blue

he is gone

12/11/2011 - 10:15pm What's the N for?

12/09/2011 - 4:16pm RE: it looks like Borges has full control of what to call

That is clear given 4th and inces against MSU and his goal line series in Iowa City.

12/04/2011 - 4:06pm Dantonio is odd but we should

Dantonio is odd but we should focus on UM...still anxious to see Hoke's second recruiting class when it is more than promising "early playing time".  Missing the 2013 MI OT to ND was not a good start on that class - for Hoke or S. Morris.
