I moved to Birmingham, AL in 2009. I discovered Mgoblog as a way to stay connected to Michigan football. I joined officially in 2010 and have been on here ever since, mostly as a lurker. I have since returned home to West Michigan but have stayed connected to the site and it is still my go to source for all things Michigan. Go Blue!
I have loved Michigan since my dad first showed me a game on TV in 1988. I'm lucky they had a good engineering school to go with the football team. However, having two boys and a great wife, I am making a business decision to sell my tickets. I am betting that JOK will do what he does against a team not called Purdue. The business is 100% about not being in a fucking stadium while "Hang on Sloopy" is played in the 4th quarter of another loss. I've seen that shit more times than I count. I don't even care about making money on the tickets. I can't be there for another imminent loss with those people.
GTFO with this support the team no matter what bull shit. I will support them from home the way I have with passion for nearly 30 years. Eat a bowl of dicks with yours and others judgement.
Be careful what you wish for. Aside from a few runs in history, this is typical for what a Michigan basketball team is. If we get rid of Beilein, it will be like Minnesota firing Glenn Mason. We will suck for a minimum of 10 years. Don't start acting like this is somehow a basketball school. Blame Rich Rod, Hoke, and Brandon for making us rely too much on basketball for too long.
And increases my ability to watch good matchups. I'm sick of bowl seasons with only a couple of fun games to watch. At least you're taking a hard line on this one!
I actually like that they were in the game. It makes it harder for them to emotionally detach than if it were a blowout. Get their hopes up and then crash harder. For example, it's always great to watch Cobb's GDCD to go up 27-10 before Braylonfest kicked into gear.
This is very important. Go slow. I've seen forklifts nearly tip over due to lifting too quickly. Also, put the counterweights as far away from the crane post as possible. Think teeter totter (sp?). Go overkill on counterweight!
First day of classes at U-M as a freshman. I was in Ulrich's buying books when the second plane hit. I actually thought it was a joke because from my distance away it looked more like the spoof flying scene from Wayne's World 2. Got back to East Quad and watched the rest unfold on TV. There was a vigil that night on the diag and it was very somber. My future fiancé drove over from Kalamazoo to spend the next couple of days in Ann Arbor.

In humble brag news, I'll be in Tokyo for the UCL Final. Waking up that early in the morning will be way better if LFC wins this tie!

Group think and blind cheerleading FTW!
I actually like listening to Pat McAfee.
It's fun to see how the different perspectives and life experiences of this blog can be treated with such venom. Grow up little buddy.

No. it's the horizontal leg of the triangle.

If the crane can rotate you'll need your counterweight to rotate with it.

Height doesn't matter. Vertical loads and their distance from center post is all that matters.

Those look fantastic
Destroy Marshall in regular season, and then not show up in MAC title game. He was extremely distracted.
