This is actually correct. In fact, it may be BETTER to fly home on Sunday (at least under current forecasting) than Saturday evening. The front currently hammering the East Coast will be much worse Friday - Saturday midday. Saturday Night may actually provide the best window to play the game, especially since Joaquin's arrival (and any additional storminess) is continually being pushed back (Monday eveing at the easliest). This is important for plane's attempting to leave on Sunday because the wind is projected to be almost 10 mph less than on Friday or Saturday (or Monday or Tuesday if Joaquin hits).

NEW Update....will likely miss MD altogether/arrival way later

No disrespect to Michigan

No disrespect to Michigan Insider, but it's an older projection. See here for the date of release:

Latest update thinks it'll be late to our win over the Terps

Because why not...

Duke spokesman Art Chase:

Yeah, that is a very valid point. It's unclear what's changed re: the Harbaugh front to make it more difficult. It could mean more opportunities to choose from for Jim, more money needed to lure him, or whatever. I think the important takeaway is that Sam, and many other Michigan "insiders" still believe that Harbaugh is very much in the picture. No one has ruled him out yet, despite what continues to be portrayed.

Sam never said "No" re: Harbaugh

This is exactly what Sam said, FYI....his take has not wavered on this:

I agree with a lot of your take here, but I don't recall ever seeing Brian write/tweet/vocalize that "Harbaugh is...likely to remain in the NFL". Brain has been explicitly consistent that Harbaugh will be interested, but beyond that he's essentially said "who the hell knows"...could be one way or the other based on who you're talking with (NFL guys vs. Former players/local guys).

I actually think this might

I actually think this might be okay. We've been getting reports for weeks that Hackett's role as AD, interim or whatever, may extend to 18-24 months so that Michigan guarantees it gets everything right moving forward. I don't think that Hackett plans to be AD for like 5+ years, but if he needs to be here 2 years in order to create stability, make the needed firings and hirings, and repair the department's good faith with Michigan fans (all while selecting the next, more permanent AD) then so be it. It would certainly be a lot on a new AD to come in and immediately start gathering the needed info to fire and hire coaches, let alone repair broken relationships both internally and externally...

As such, I think that this signals two things: 1. That a coaching change is certainly happening (hallelujah) 2. Because a coaching change is needed, Michigan has correctly identified that getting the next coaching transition right is more immediately important than identifying the next long term (think 5+ years) AD. It seems to me that if they tried to couple the coaching search with the AD search that things could get sloppy, turn off potential coaching options, and in turn bungle yet another transition. It also could mean that they want the next head football coach (one of the university's most visible and financially important ambassadors) to have a chance to give input on the his future long term boss. I would definitely be okay with allowing the next head football coach have that ability (particularly if it's Jim Harbaugh - a guy who we all know likes to run things his way).

Lastly, a plus on the coaching change front is that Hackett has personal connections to both Harbaugh and Miles. Perhaps his presence as a more permanent figure within the department can help get one of the two. Just my two cents.

Wtf kind of 'pedo' references have there been? I've read this blog for a long time (only recently and rarely post) and I can't recall seeing any references to pedophilia outside that of the jerry sandusky case.

Ira didn't say anything

Ira didn't say anything malicious about Burleson, he simply used the common phrase "Same Old Lions" to describe yet another unfortuante twist to the Lions long history of unfortunate twists. Did he get a bit upset when someone insinuated he was exactly like Jim Comparoni (the guy who called for Devin to get his knees blown out during the ND game), hell yeah. I would too. That said, the show obviously misses Sam, but he'll be back soon.

Yeah, well, that's just like

Yeah, well, that's just like your opinion, man.

Absolutely this! What's more,

Absolutely this! What's more, this may have been spun as a security issue, but this is consistent with the council's urban planning vision in which driving into downtown AA will become increasingly more difficult. If you want to drive in, you will meet traffic slow downs, increased parking prices, and lots of frustration. Fortunately, there are also plans on the docket to add transit to AA via different busing/light rail options that will run up from Plymouth Rd down through the city/university and down to the mall.

If the goal is to achieve a pedestrian fan-friendly experience then this will certinaly help achieve that goal. However, for those of us who have to drive in from out-of-town, it will paying higher premiums (cost-wise and mentally) to make it to our favorite tailgate locations...not that it's ever been THAT easy to drive on game days.
