The returning experience on defense give us a floor of, IMO, ~8 wins (Fresno St, Ark St, Minnesota, Illinois, MSU, Indiana, NW, Wash). If JJ comes back I think we have the edge against USC and Oregon at home. If Harbaugh comes back I would favor us against Texas and OSU as well. No gimmes in those four marquee match-ups, though.
I sent this to my girlfriend who (while supportive) does not quite understand my attachment to Michigan football. Maybe she will now. Thank you, this is beautiful.
Why do you feel the need to tear the guy down? This is a thoughtful post. Maybe you need to take a break from the internet you’ve become unnecessarily cynical
Nikhai Hill-Green is limited athletically. Brad Hawkins is limited athletically. You don't have to be a speedster to succeed in McDonald's scheme. It's about technique and understanding zone coverage
Thankfully we're in the best possible position to avoid most of the damage from this. But it sucks. He was clearly a star. Wish we had him for more than a calendar year.
If they didn't both have freshman eligibility I think we could play JJ 50-50 with Cade and keep him happy until he could start. But that's not gonna happen

Really heartening to see the warm public response to Thaw's tweet. At the end of the day, he's a 21yo kid.

Absolute destruction in East Lansing, 49-0, no mercy. So overdue!
On field moment that angered you of 2023?
This is more meta but the completely unnecessary night games. Bowling Green, and to a lesser extent Purdue. Should both have been a noon games.
Biggest surprise player of 2023?
Kenneth Grant. Knew he'd be good, but didn't know he'd be that good! A dominant season.

Best season of my life. Go Blue!
Agree with this post. Thanks for mentioning
I think it's less out of choice than necessity. We would have taken Dante Moore or Malachi Nelson (both 5 stars) if we could've gotten them.
Green was a 3 star. Eyabi* was a 5 star.
Wasn't it Kumbaya?

Great breakdown thank you Seth!
This is so beautiful I could cry
Really hope you're right

Huge serotonin boost. Thanks for posting!
This board often does not grasp nuance. It was a fair question.
Keep it in the family if possible. No need to mess with a winning formula
1. Gattis
2. Mike Macdonald
3. Jim Leonard (Wisconsin D coordinator)
4. Sherrone Moore
5. PJ Fleck
6. Jedd Fisch (depending on if he can turn Arizona around)

it is amazing to me how many people misspell his name lol
most likely Motown
the definition of cringe
Some of your best work Seth. Thank you!
Good stuff. Thank you Niels!

Bring on the 4/5 star D lineman!
Who is most likely to leave? Why not speculate
View from behind the bench. Doesn't get any better than this!
Big time!!!
Seldon and Green-Warren have a ton of potential and might contribute big time in the next couple years
Let's take his juice
That's about as good as it gets

No reason to be scared. Just play with confidence and go out and make it happen. Steal their energy. It's all house money!
Harbaugh said it best. The game will be won or lost with blocking and tackling
This post is football poetry. Thank you Brian!
This offense executed their gameplan better than any in recent memory. Well deserved!
I trust this coaching staff innately with developing 3 stars into dudes. If we reel in a few more 5/4 stars, that's a bonus.
Hutch in some capacity on offense please. Especially if this game gets out of hand *knocks on wood* let's lean into getting him some Heisman hype
Amazing! Makes no sense to have an East Lansing game two years running.
This dude makes all the right reads and plays with composure beyond his years. We're lucky.
Really excellent breakdown. Thank you Seth!! Nice to see the Harbaugh/Gattis fusion proven out in the UFR when it's clear to the eye as well.
For once... I simply do not care. He earned the right to say that.
Who is starting over him? Dude has talent. Must have had enough with the program
This man does not get nearly enough respect
Keep doing it if it works
Is he that big of an X's and O's upgrade over Ed O? (who was actually a culture fit)

Love this mentality!! Zinter smash
