Watching this train wreck with great interest is that he’s gotten some extremely poor advice along the way. Family? Friends? Coaches? Not sure but this once promising career has turned into a punchline. As a lifelong MI fan from Detroit/Kazoo/MacNaw and a CAL Grad...I’ve been excited about seeing this kid on the field since his HS highlight reel.
Recently completely restored (by same company that worked on Big House) with new Performance Center, Hall of Fame and the always amazing view of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge! And the football team SPANKED Shea Patterson’s Ole Miss Team for good measure!
CAL Golden Bears have won 3 NCAA Championships and have 1 runner-up in the past 10 years. This, of course, after a decade spanning 80s-90s where they won 7 of 10 NCAA Championships.

CAL (yes...the ones with the crappiest defense in the country for last 3 years) beat Shea & Rebels last year 27-16 with Patterson throwing 3 INTs and a QB rating of 26!

I was a CAL student from 78-82 and most of my fraternity hailed from Sacto. This case was huge then and the threat was always something that their parents constantly reminded us all of.
Fact that he was a cop explains a lot about how the investigation went sideways for so long...maybe!
While MacCity does have its tourist tee shirts & fudge traps, it also has a few nice restaurants (Audie’s is favorite) and a new Seafood restaurant overlooking Lake Huron. And, of course, there’s the legendary Keyhole—one of the best food and PBR Dives in NorMI. There’s even a new BrewPub just South of town!
There’s the Dark Sky Park & trails right on Lake MI, and the Beach by the MacNaw lighthouse and Fort which offer the best view of the Straits and MacBridge by far! If there on a Tues or Sat you might catch a concert at the bandshell near the new City Marina. Also fun to take a Sheplers Ferry Lighthouse or Sunset Bridge cruise around the Straits and under the Bridge!
Could be a nice addition to an already impressive receiver corps for Cal (Robertson/Stovall/Hawkins/Wharton & FR Remigio). May be tough to get on the field if those guys stay healthy!
I’ve always wondered whether some UM math genius has developed a system (akin to Baseball) to truly understand how best to build a team based on various star ratings, HS statistics, early v late commit / enroll, and a ton of other stuff I haven’t listed.
On so many levels the obsession with college sports can go haywire! My motto: Life is not a Spectator Sport! Spend more time DOING and applauding others that DO same...win or lose!

Have u seen OreGUN’s facilities? And with Phil Knights support...they are a college players dream school in so many ways! Much higher & SUSTAINABLE ceiling than FSU!
