I am a defensive assistant at the varsity level in high school and I can tell you that I try to rotate my interior guys ever 3-4 plays. My defensive ends will rotate less frequently.

I will also bump my ends inside in some situations. It really all depends on the situation, etc.

Obviously that is high school and we don't have the advantage of having 6-8 plus-players that can be rotated every 2-3 plays to stay fresh.

Linebackers will rotate much less frequently and the secondary even less frequent than that. But again, in a perfect world, every team will have packages based on the situation.

THE HARBAUGH TRAIN IS COMING IN 2016!

I Could Not Care Less

Could not care less if people believe my post or not. Other than positions of absolute need -- RB and LB in 2016 -- or once in a Blue Moon recruits -- Rashan Gary -- I don't care about recruiting at all. But as Magnus said, I have no need to share information on here unless it is coming from people that know. I come to this website daily to get pertinent Michigan information. Not going to screw over other Michigan fans wanting the same.

As I Mentioned ...

I mentioned it in the 2017 Offensive Preview, but Stritzinger -- as of right now -- as very little interest playing RB in college. He wants to play CB. Michigan may be a leader for him now, but if Miami (Florida) offers, he likely commits there.

Also, I have very little recruiting knowledge, but will offer up this as I've heared it from people close to him.

Stritzinger ...

I don't know much about recruiting, but I can tell you that as of right now, Stritzinger does not want to play RB in college and if Miami were to ever offer him, they would immediately jump to the top of his list.

Go Blue!

Lineman Weight

There was a lot of talk in this post about how much a player weighs -- especially on the interior -- and how it limits his ability to move defensive tackles. Would it be great to have mobile guards that weight 320 pounds? Of course. But guys, that's not something you find often in college football.

Being 310 pounds instead of 298 pounds will not mean they can block the man across from them. Strength, staying low, getting off the ball, etc. are all much more important.

If Michigan does that -- which they did not do last season -- you will see improvement across the offensive line. If not, we will all be frustrated again.

Strength and Conditioning

The biggest area of growth needed for these players is in their strength and conditioning. Sadly, we don't get the numbers to track that. Let's just hope all these young players -- which there are a lot of them -- improve and get back to winning football games.

I do love Amara Darboh's size, though. Damn, can he please stay healthy? Thanks.

Desmond Morgan

These moves are being made because Morgan was terrible in 2013. Yes, while part of that had to do with a dismal defensive line, he too frequently missed tackles. You can't have a middle linebacker that is going to fall off tackles that often.

As for Chris Bryant, there is nothing but depth and young talent on OL -- now whether that turns into Big Ten championship talent is yet to be seen. But I'm not sure how this hurts Michigan and why you would even talk about Bryant's absence and the defensive line in the same sentence.
