Wow, even the commenters here.... ...are better than any OSU blogger out there. Kind of amazing that as a Buckeye, the best recruiting breakdown I've seen on OSU comes from a UM blog's Commenter/Diarist. Also, reason #3,287 why newspapers are dying - with all the MSM out there PAID to write about sports for a living, have you seen anything so well researched and clearly laid out as this?
Buckeyes should be higher Ohio St should move ahead of Oklahoma, Penn State, and probably Miami. On a pure resume basis: Okla: OSU has the better loss (USC vs. BYU), and better/comparable wins. Penn St: OSU has the better loss (3 pts to USC vs. 11 to Iowa), and better wins (or at least equivalent) Miami: Crushed by V-Tech. Bad loss as compared to OSU; better wins, although FSU does not impress.
WWAHT has the passion. They WWAHT has the passion. They have a certain level of logical deconstruction. They do not have the sophisticated breakdowns, the fantastic inside information, or the talent level of Brian. Of course, that last point is the toughest to replicate.
How much are you being paid? And how much would Ohio St fans need to pay you to change allegiences and blog about the Buckeyes? After Saturday night, I NEED to see a logical, reasonable deconstruction of where the OSU program stands, coming from a place of unending passion, from a WRITER. That doesn't exist in the OSU blogosphere. I'm left with MSM rehash, & sloppily written opinion pieces in the blogs. Your writing about UM is so inspired. Such a combination of heartfelt passion, reason, fandom, logic, and sheer writing talent. I think I would pay at least $50-$100/year for this level of coverage on my team. What do you say?
