|01/09/2015 - 11:33am||My god, it's like looking . . .||
in the mirror! That handsome fellow could be my twin! Who is that? I'd like to meet this guy.
|12/31/2014 - 2:49pm||There are rumors Ferrigno . . .||
will be kept on the staff. Hopefully, he will have learned to count to 11.
Please don't shoot the messenger!
|12/23/2014 - 1:27pm||Here's how . . .||
You buy their newspaper or TV station and then you fire them immediately. I call this the Rupert Murdoch approach . . .
|06/14/2014 - 11:27pm||Thanks for posting Carlos Spicyweiner||
Thanks for posting Carlos Spicyweiner
|04/29/2014 - 2:10pm||Sir, what does the acronym POV mean exactly?||
I'm confused. I always thought it meant something very different.
|04/19/2014 - 11:44pm||Any relation to Black Belt Jones?||
If so, take him!
|10/09/2013 - 8:00am||You mean Blue?||
Blue's dead. Saw two ladies flash their breasts and died of a heart attack. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
|08/14/2013 - 2:41pm||Don't like the fit . . .||
I prefer the baggy, old school wife-beater jerseys, ala the Fab Five.
|05/20/2013 - 8:01am||Bo . . .||
would never have done that.
|03/09/2013 - 10:23am||Any Jim Jarmusch movie . . .||
and I literally mean ANY movie written/directed by Jim Jarmusch. The guy is really a genius. Can't believe he's not better renown.
I also really like the earlier Woody Allen (Manhattan, Annie Hall, etc.). Not really under the radar, but most people can't stand him or his movies. But Woody has a way of getting under your skin and those earlier movies are really masterpieces.
|02/26/2013 - 4:43pm||Yeah???||
Well too bad for the Blackhawks. Frankly, the Wings deserve better. They've been keeping the Western Conference afloat for 20 years playing every screwball team the NHL dreams up (the Mighty Ducks, Phoenix Coyotes, etc.). It's been a complete joke. And then you add to that the amount of travel the Wings have had to put up with during the regular season and the playoffs. It's amazing the Wings won as many games as they did during that era.
|02/14/2013 - 4:16pm||Never a good idea to let out a fart . . .||
But if you do, casually move to the left.
|01/25/2013 - 5:27pm||Actually, rumor is the guy has serious mental issues . . .||
and suicidal tendencies. Not joking. That's why the Lions have been treating this situation delicately (i.e., they don't want a reoccurence of the Kansas City Chiefs situation). They're going to cut him, but taking careful steps along the way.
|12/11/2012 - 10:46pm||Wow . . . Herm is AWESOME!!!||
This post is a HALL OF FAME post. Everything about it is brilliant. Genius!!!
I want to worship at the alter of Herm.
Herm, please impregnate my girlfriend. I want to raise the son of God.
|11/21/2012 - 11:20pm||Athletes (especially football) generate millions of dollars||
At schools like Michigan, but get very little out of it except for the degree. I think that's the argument. I'm not making it so don't neg bomb me.
|11/14/2012 - 1:40pm||You lie . . .||
presenting me with these facts.
|11/14/2012 - 11:56am||But what about Toledo???||
What do we with that??? Am I the only one concerned about this often overlooked historical footnote in Ohio/Michigan history? In some way, we should honor the heros lost in that Great War. Perhaps a patch in the shape of Toledo on our uniforms.
|10/24/2012 - 4:48pm||When I think of Bill Martin running the athletic department,||
I think of Homer Simpson working at the nuclear power plant. Funny stuff if it weren't so true and close to home. And squash no less. Who the hell plays squash except old dudes with those tube athletic socks and "Bike" shorts?
|07/17/2012 - 1:55pm||And the sarcasm . . .||
went clear over this guy's head (and I'm afraid others).
I would have thought the absurdity of the original post would have been enough. Maybe the saddest thing is that it's not such an absurd post after all, at least in some people's minds.
|07/17/2012 - 11:59am||Hell yeah, honkey tonk Dudeness. . .||
My holster's custom made and embroidered with PAIN.
|07/17/2012 - 11:58am||Why don't you go watch some . . .||
Charles Bronson movies and see what happens?
|07/17/2012 - 10:36am||This is why you need to carry a fire arm at all times||
Open carry, especially at bars and other drinking establishments.
There's no better deterrent to shooting violence than every last one of us carrying guns.
You just never know when somebody's going come up from behind you and shoot you.
|06/20/2012 - 1:35pm||I still think we need to get that . . .||
tight rope guy (Wallenda) to tight rope walk across the stadium on game day.
That would blow away the fly over and the parachute guy. Totally worth the increase in ticket prices.
|04/01/2012 - 9:17pm||Novak on steroids???||
That's like Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, and Randy the Macho Man Savage all rolled up into one man.
Be careful with such reckless hyperbole.
|01/30/2012 - 10:11am||Not to be too picky here . . .||
but this article doesn't really quote any independent sources. I'm all for Michigan homerism, but Allen Trieu isn't exactly an independent observer of Michigan recruiting (even if he's the "Mid-West" recruiting guru for Scout). Just wish Kyle would have gotten some quotes from better sources, that's all.
|11/24/2011 - 10:18pm||FootbaIl, it doesn't matter. Nobody cares except them||
The game really has no significance except to them.
Now, if you're talking about other sports. BBall and hockey? That's a different question.
|10/05/2011 - 2:13pm||As far as I know, there isn't one and . . .||
wasn't one when I was down there 5 years ago.
You should just start one. Best sports bar down there is Flanigan's off Bird Avenue in Coconut Grove, but that's not really the type of bar you'd be able to take over. You could probably takeover Sand Bar in Coconut Grove, which is also pretty decent.
|09/30/2011 - 12:14pm||Wait . . . I finally figured it out||
If you in any way like "In the Big House" by Pop Evil (other than on some ironic, perverse, or maybe even a sadomasochistic level), then you are a "Walmart Wolverine." So let it be written.
|09/25/2011 - 9:28am||Yes, Lloyd Brady . . .||
At 20:25 of the first quarter.
|08/21/2011 - 8:00pm||Don't post here much . . .||
But for you to lump Delillo together with all of the other writers out there who really use and abuse the "I don't give a shit" schtick is an abomination. And DFW would agree.
|07/09/2011 - 11:07am||People forget that Alexander . . .||
Was a better receiver (not return man) than Desmond Howard. They were our bookends on offense. Desmond won the heisman in 92 because Alexander was out the whole season with an injury. We didn't have anybody else other than Howard. Eventually teams started to double up on Howard, which is what happened in the 92 rose bowl when we got destroyed by Emtman and crew. What a sad game that was . . . I'm convinced Emtman was on steroids.
|07/04/2011 - 10:54pm||I only have granny porn on mine . . .||
So that's what I'd recommend. Then again, whatever floats your boat . . .
|05/04/2011 - 8:50pm||I do . . .||
Give em to me big boy!!!
|05/04/2011 - 8:09pm||I don't understand what you mean by "screwed" . . .||
Most would say that the Lions will be a better team than 2010, a year in which only a couple of close losses kept them out of the playoffs. In fact, the Lions made a bit of a run toward the end of the season without Stafford, including the win against Green Bay. They can definitely make the playoffs without Stafford playing. And if Stafford is healthy, watch out.
|04/26/2011 - 8:57pm||Boston/Montreal game||
Good god this is a great game - a lot of hitting and scoring chances. And man these two teams hate each other. Great rivalry.
|04/25/2011 - 10:07am||I know Kelly will get an offer||
from UMiami. He may even be a lock for UMiami.
|04/25/2011 - 9:00am||Rosey's is the place for you . . .||
It's at Huron and 4th.
|04/24/2011 - 6:08pm||I can't stand using these internet websites as a barometer . .||
Maybe a better method for ranking schools in terms of recruiting would be to use the number of offers from the top 25 programs in terms of wins-losses over the past 10 years. All this other stuff is so arbirtrary it's meaningless.
|04/16/2011 - 11:19am||Actually the ambulance service in Detroit . . .||
has gotten notoriously bad of late - in fact, it's the worst in the country. Charlie LeDuff (local reporter, Michigan grad, former writer for the Michigan Daily) has been covering this quite a bit. If you need an ambulance for any reason in the city of Detroit, it could take 20-30 minutes for anyone to come. You're better off driving yourself to the hospital than waiting for an ambulance to come.
|04/14/2011 - 12:04pm||I know. Fantastic. What was Barry doing . . .||
sitting on his couch in his living room? Surprised I didn't see a beer in his hand.
|03/30/2011 - 12:27am||Scheisskerl, are you . . .||
into scatology? Just curious.
|03/18/2011 - 2:30pm||Didn't she date David Terrell?||
Or am I confusing her with someone else?
|03/13/2011 - 11:05am||Bo?||
|03/07/2011 - 1:59pm||TomB||
is such a douche bag. At some point, that crap is going to bite him in the arse, if it hasn't begun already. This is the only site you should be posting on.
|03/07/2011 - 1:57pm||"Higbe" mentioned . . .||
that QW is going to be on defense for good. QW is Schofield's roommate.
|03/05/2011 - 11:21am||Negative attention?||
Despite the NCAA stuff that came down, this was probably the most influential college basketball team ever. It literally captured the entire nation's attention at a time when you also had Jordan's Chicago Bulls and Duke on the same stage. This Michigan BBall team was the Muhammad Ali of college basketball.
|03/04/2011 - 8:35pm||MC Hammer . . .||
used to go to those games. And he'd bring his WHOLE entourage. It was ridiculous. That's what is so crazy about these recruits going to other schools and getting blown away by the atmosphere. If one of those recruits went to a Fab Five game, they'd never be the same. It was that crazy.
|02/26/2011 - 6:40pm||Will there be . . .||
Live tackling? If so, I hope to God they wrap Denard in bubble wrap.
|02/03/2011 - 5:02pm||My money's on . . .||
Matty Moroun (Detroit's own Mr. Burns).
|01/22/2011 - 1:23pm||All of these are good recommendations . . .||
Especially Prime 112. I'll only add a couple of good sushi spots, both of which are in South Beach. Even if you don't really like sushi, it's pretty f'ing good in Miami.
I'd try Bond Street Lounge or Nobu (which is the more expensive of the two).
