Obviously every 5 star RB we’ve ever signed belongs on that list too, but I get the Gary high on that list.

Good side has been that he has always had a great attitude and been a positive role model.

Bad side you have to think of what might have been if he wasn’t injured or played a similar role as Woodley.

I think he was a special talent but he won’t go down in the annals of Michigan for anything of note. Good luck in the NFL.

Only time I watch online or BTN is during the tournament or if it is a national game like UofM vs. MSU in the big house.  This has been consistent over the years

Just great content and written in such an easy manner to understand. Look forward to looking in on your other videos also.

12/01/2018 - 8:50am I agree, and I think it…

I agree, and I think it shows how the fans may think of these games differently than the players. We desire to see Michigan do well and not be the punchline of every Big Ten joke because everyone won, except us. I don’t know that they see them as more than an exhibition anymore. You come out and give it a college try, but 11 games 10 games doesn’t really matter like it does to us. Look at how the past players politely ask this question all the time too.  It’s not just us, as fans. Different motivations for this generation.

More than happy to give him a glowing reference. What Is Jedd doing these days?

He Ain’t wrong!  My favorite is when they pull the WR back to slingshot themselves forward. Classic Michigan DB!!!

Good Analysis. How are turnovers figured into the numbers for both Off and Def?

10/12/2018 - 9:44am I think the flaw in that…

I think the flaw in that logic is you have to figure it against the spread too, because we always have the 2-3 home games, against directional schools and the like, that inflate those numbers. You also could just look at our home vs. away differential within the Big Ten, to make a more convincing number.

That said, what are we arguing about? We’ve all been to home games at Michigan and other places, and I think common sense can tell us that we are a little bit more on the laid back side when it comes to getting loud, specifically when our team is on Def and needs us to provide an obstruction to communication for the away team. There are teams whose fans are superior to us.

Great to have heritage. Wish we had fans/friends that helped do their part a little more. It’s an advantage.

Easily my fav segment of the week each week.  Great job Seth, and thank you for the insight.

Question - Do Def like NW keep teams honest by flipping this from time to time and have the DTs slant towards the A gaps and bring the MLB and WLB into the B gaps?

This is great content. Thank you for taking the time to provide it for the masses. When we talk about content missing from the website. It is harvesting things like this.

08/12/2018 - 11:28am Did you read the Hail…

Did you read the Hail preview? They have most of a very good Def intact and people are saying this will be a 10 to 13 game, so a 21 point victory may be a little much for a bunch of true sophomores and a transfer QB. That said, I like the optimism.

It really is the truth. I see people comment all the time about work ethic just based on perception of always busy.

The counter tip to this may be, don’t be over impressed with people that always appear busy. If you’ve been doing the job for any period of time, why have you not figured out how to do it more efficiently.  Lol

Ohio dots the I in “Lie”. Classic!

06/28/2018 - 6:41pm It is your website indeed,…

It is your website indeed, but just like I don’t watch De Niro movies for his family values, I don’t come to your blog for your political views.

I get that these days people are so overcome by passion that they can’t separate the two, however the great thing about Mgoblog is it has been a safe place where we all bleed maize and blue and where, “Michigan football is a religion, and Saturday is the holy day of obligation.”

I would recommend that we keep this website pure from politics. It may help us to remember that we aren’t as divided as we thought and that good men and women exist on both sides of any argument.

06/02/2018 - 9:43am EA Graphics

Most of that video is just EA graphics. They don’t even have an NCAA license so its literally just a college game not an NCAA game but websites like would work to customize and add rosters to make it accurate so maybe it doesn’t need to have the license. What I do want to see is larger rosters than the 65 that NCAA stuck us with so recruiting can be more accurate.

05/27/2018 - 11:51pm 2013 NCAA Basketball Champ

If we were just talking football The Game in 06, would be it, but I’m not sure that would have suddenly resulted in a national championship or changed the future demise of the program unfortunately.

2013’s loss to Louisville and that Tony Montana look alike still gets me as a huge injustice. They were evil, we knew they were evil and it just seems like the good guy didn’t win that one.

04/02/2018 - 2:11pm So true

It would also be interesting to see what % chance we had to beat MSU in Breslin or I just looked at Kenpom’s pick for the Champ game it was Villanova playing Virginia with Virginia only having a 31% chance to win that championship. Good news is they were 50% wrong, and the other interesting thing is that the percentage of D against O stayed the same.

04/01/2018 - 4:29am Just Booked

Coming in from AZ. I’ll be there! Let’s go Blue!!!

03/23/2018 - 9:21am Fouls to give

I agree in the winded category but what depth really stands for is fouls to give. Yesterday was incredible with no calls in the first half and then the second half refs showed up. In this tourney having the depth and rotation to keep plugging away has been a necessity.

03/09/2018 - 9:47am Now I get it

Does have a lot of similarities to the 90s alternative I grew up on so I enjoyed it after reading the article, but then I followed the link to the friends and family singing a rendition of it at the Wake of a friend. Now I GET it. Dude that is an awesome anthem for a generation!…

03/06/2018 - 7:10pm Such a good point

I think this is such a good point and something we have really struggled with in the past when we met teams that could spread us out and pick us apart from three. Teams have not been able to do that since Purdue Two!

02/07/2018 - 6:46pm A lot

Doesn’t matter what. Just a lot!

01/01/2018 - 9:56pm Agree

We need an OC and a QB. Tough to look at next seasons schedule and say we are better than 8-4 with 6-6 a worst case scenario unless our OL suddenly becomes effective and Shea Patterson is the answer.

01/01/2018 - 7:30pm Greg Frey

Probably Greg Frey’s last game with the team. He’ll be at FSU.

01/01/2018 - 7:13pm Suggestion

Scooter. Why don’t you just save us the suspense, leave the board now, and if some unlikely freak turnaround occurs you come back in a year. I think that would be best.

11/22/2017 - 2:18pm Figure 1-2

Looks like the horizontal bar is Satisfaction but I don’t understand then what the vertical is measuring. Can you explain please?

11/11/2017 - 7:09am One feedback

I really look forward to the segment. Only feedback I have is around when you color the names. The fuchsia and red can be hard to read on a mobile. Thank you for the analysis.

10/22/2017 - 11:33pm 0 & 0

That felt like Alabama all over again. Especially when you compare this feeling, to what we felt after beating FL. Ugggh

10/08/2017 - 9:11pm Where is...

Where is the we desperately miss Jedd Fisch post? That is the person we can't live without. Asiasi is just one little part of the team, The team, The Team. Where is the creativity in our offense that was a hallmark of every competitive game the last two years? We just got out coached by Dantonio!!!!

10/08/2017 - 9:37am Not Madden

Hindsight is always 20/20, but of all the failings of the coaching staff this is not one of them. We aren't playing Madden where you go for two every time and make it most the time to even things out. Second question. If you doubt there ability to manage the practical pieces of the game, what great play call did you see on the night that they could have gone back to, to even score the two.

In short you kick the PA.

10/08/2017 - 9:24am Totally Agree

Watching on TV best crowd response I've heard since the ND games at night. Crowd was amazing and the student section brought it times 10. The rain didn't even deter them. Now let's go get an OC (Jedd Fisch please) and return to glory.

10/08/2017 - 12:16am Sparty

I'll agree with you that this is a big rivalry as soon as you add it to your logo. I'm sure it already is part of your icon when you post on your fav Sparty board.

10/07/2017 - 11:57pm Jedd Fisch

Hard to argue the passing attack wasn't better (does it even exist now) when he was here. We need a shake up after this season and I'd like that to be Fisch.

09/17/2017 - 10:47am Trying times

Wish we had that week 1 data because I would have been in the 90s, but it has been a steep slide ever since. I feel the Special Teams had a great day at returns obviously but coverage on Kickoffs was incredible too, and FGs were automatic. Hart seems to botch a punt or two late in games consistently but will improve. Defense was good With an occasional play against them. Nothing to worry about there! Then we come to the offense. I don't get it. I feel like there is push in the line but then holes close way to quickly and anything inside is hard yards. Outside has been effective but we feel very left handed this year which makes sense but is easier to scheme for. Same thing goes for QB. His stat lines don't look bad, but are they effective? Our red zone percentage says the run and pass aren't living up to even their floor. Something needs to break through or this will be one of those 4-0 years that suddenly takes a turn and never revives. I'm not looking forward to Penn State anymore. Every week will be a battle to win with this offense.

09/10/2017 - 7:50pm Very right

Ok update before the delete. I missed that.

09/10/2017 - 6:54pm Ranked Higher

I know there are countdown clocks on how many days it's been since we have won The Game. Anyone know how long it has been since we ranked higher than them? Does it go all the way back to the Luke Fickell year?

09/05/2017 - 11:08am Love This

"Michigan replaced 10 starters on Def and at no point could you tell it was an issue.  It was just a NEW BATCH OF TERROR.  Not even a reboot, but more like an anthology series.  A different and terrifying episode on each snap.  Florida's Off never had a chance.  They never even saw most of it coming."

08/20/2017 - 1:25am I agree

I've been 8 years and 35 weeks and to me that means more than if you put an "in before the post deleted" reply, lol - but I'm good With both.

Really excited to see the site moving to next generation. I explain this site to other college fans or send the preview analysis about their team before we play them and they can't comprehend how something as amazing as this site is still free.

Thank you for all you do.

08/05/2017 - 2:03pm They beat my HTTV!

05/22/2017 - 8:35am #98

Interesting that he stuck with 98 vs going back to 7 or another QB number. You heard how many players didn't like the number change. For example I have a Kovak ball signed after he left Michigan and he uses his original number. He looks good in 98 and seeing Gallon break tackles reminds me of the great heart our players showed, even if it was a dark age in Michigan football.

04/26/2017 - 10:15am Pope gets the Jordan 5s

Got to say I've been bugged by the lack of good shoes. The initial leopard skin Jordans were unwearable for anyone over 25 and the couple Nike shoes were just Michigan versions of a generic team shoe that all Nike schools got. These Jordan 5s are amazing and need to be released to the public!

04/16/2017 - 8:32pm Updated Roster

Any good 360 rosters for 2017 season yet?

12/31/2016 - 7:47pm t

12/31/2016 - 7:43pm I get it

I totally get it and I want to defend a Michigan QB too, but did you see how bad Francis got hit by Taco yesterday and yet he continued to step into his throws and had enough to finish the game. We all play hurt every day in life and yet we find a way to get done what we need to. There is a difference between hurt and injured. I don't feel like Speight figured out how to play hurt this year. Good players do.

12/31/2016 - 12:29am A HELL Season

Not a hell of a season, literally a HELL Season. A bunch of games that were foregone conclusion wins and close losses to any team that showed up to play.

I have a 12 year old daughter who lived through the awful years. Never remembers us relevant and I got to see her burst into tears 3 times this year as our amazing defense couldn't make one last stand. HELL season. Good riddance.

12/04/2016 - 12:59pm Exactly

All we had to do was beat Iowa and none of this would have mattered. We are the 3rd best team in the country, but we got exactly what we deserved.
