01/07/2016 - 6:50pm Dude needs to sell hits to

Dude needs to sell hits to his website.......no better way than to throw away your crystal ball vote on the #1 player in the country

09/28/2015 - 10:25pm I flew with the backup QB for Air Force

a long time ago and he said the worst trash talking team he ever played against was ND.....gotta love the Mormons and Catholics, eh?   :)

05/21/2013 - 5:41pm Hmmmmmm....

Maybe we can get him on Tosh.O for a web redemption.......

01/15/2013 - 3:26pm 247 is a joke........

They're on par with ESPN (maybe a little lower) in terms of credibility......Green at 84?!  Really?!  He's the #1 RB at Scout and Rivals..........

Glad for Tremendous that he gets to break into the biz with them, but other than that, it's a waste of a recruiting site....

06/17/2012 - 5:22pm Well.....

06/05/2012 - 3:50pm Here's the updated one......

06/05/2012 - 3:43pm That's from the signature

of a guy on the Scout board...it's actually updated with #20 and all the star rankings...

05/26/2012 - 11:51am That's what happens when

you have top ranked commits....other top programs will not stop recruiting them......Dawson's not going anywhere.......

03/07/2012 - 3:54pm Well..

The top 50 in Scout get 5*s and top 300 get 4*s......so if the rankings remain the same, we actually have 4 5*s and 8 4-stars right now.......ridiculous!

03/06/2012 - 2:10pm Done.

nt

03/05/2012 - 5:10pm thanks for the update......

not commited yet doesn't mean he won't soon still though, right.......

03/05/2012 - 5:06pm speaking of 12 year olds........

before you start bashing someone, why don't you take a few minutes and see what the guy's all about....how many 1 on 1 interviews he's done with top-rated recruits....that way you won't come off sounding like a complete tool.....unless that was your intention.....then in that case I apologize......

03/05/2012 - 5:03pm Why does there have to be

a bigger wow factor......the kid is a top LB.....and he was being recruited heavily by Meyer...and he's from the heart of Ohio.........that's a pretty big trifecta in recruiting-speak if you ask me.....

03/05/2012 - 4:58pm The guy is the author of this

http://thisismichiganfootball.blogspot.com/

and he posts on this site quite often.......he actually does some pretty good work for not being connected with any recruiting agencies...

12/03/2011 - 7:34pm Having lived in Italy for 4 years

and Germany now for 2 and counting, I can tell you that generalizations are often times there for a reason.......and in his post, he's right......Europeans don't tip (not rude--service peeps actualy make a real wage), Italians don't know what lines are and Germans are the most unhappy group of people I've ever met........

11/29/2011 - 7:33pm What's the chance MI admits him

on a non-athletic scholarship so he can be at MI after he finishes his HS and be close to the program.  Then, if he ever recovers enough to compete again, he's here....if not, he's able to achieve an outstanding education and move on with the rest of his life.....

11/28/2011 - 8:25pm For the record........

It was Mattison who recruited Tebow.........

11/26/2011 - 8:10pm Sounds like the true

definition of inconclusive evidence.....which means it shouldn't have been overturned......there are lots of pissed off peeps in Vegas who lost tons of $ on that BS call.......

11/26/2011 - 5:31am Should have gone to the game and

sent him a fruit basket......and attach an empty sack to the outside which represents the fact his future wife now has his and will not relinguish them for the rest of his life.....I give em 2 years...3 tops....unless he enjoys wearing the dress in the family.....

11/19/2011 - 7:31pm Oklahoma will

get the Big 12 auto invite when they beat OK St......and MI will get an invite before a 2 loss in the last 3 Ok St team does...

11/19/2011 - 7:27pm That was great

timing actually.......well done!

08/15/2011 - 7:41pm More fuel for the fire?......
the torg

08/15/2011 - 6:17pm My guess....

is the NCAA doesn't waste their time setting up an interview with some slimeball (and his lawyer mind you) unless they have a pretty good idea what he's going to say before hand....

07/24/2011 - 4:10pm Tom........does Luginbill

mean top 5 or 6 QB in the 2012 class or top 5 or 6 overall prospect in the class.....

07/06/2011 - 3:09pm As far as the flaps.........

The flaps being found in the retracted position is not that big of a deal.....especially for smaller aircraft......I flew many approaches with little/no flap extension.....allows me to fly a little faster and to be honest, depending on the plane, I thought it was a little more stable approach many times......

Also, if the pilot did start executing a missed approach, one of the first things he'd do after confirming the gear was up and there was a positive rate of climb, would be to retract the flaps so as to not over speed them.....

So I wouldn't put much into the flap retracted issue......

Having said all that, retracted flaps certainly raises the stall speed and that in and of itself, could have contributed to the accident....

07/06/2011 - 3:03pm Air Force and Jetblue pilot......

To piggy back on some of the comments from the other pilots.......besides the fact he began the approach below mins, another critical mistake was that he stayed below the weather and attempted to remain visual with the airfield instead of executing a missed approach.....

With weather at 200/1, that was well below any published circling minimums.......essentially, the weather would need to have a higher ceiling and/or better visibility in order to remain below the weather and attempt to land...

If the information in the prelim report is accurate, he should have executed a "go around/missed approach" which is a published procedure that requires him to climb on certain headings to certain altitudes within certain DME or (miles) within the airfield or navigation equipment being used for the approach to keep the aircraft safe from known obtacles and terrain....

An easy and common and fatal mistake is to "break out" of the weather, see the ground and attempt to manuever visually to a position to execute a landing........

This comes with experience and requires discipline.  I hate second guessing ANY pilot especially after circumstances like this, but if anyone out there who may be interested in becoming a pilot, remember these incidents.....as we say in the Air Force, our emergency procedures are written in red--from the blood of those who have made mistakes before us....

Fly safe.

07/03/2011 - 5:01am Too true...

It's poor technique to make suppositions as to what may or may not have happened until an entire investigation has been completed........

It's easy to sit in a "1-G" environment and guess as to what may or may not have happened.......but for the grace of God, go I..........

All pilots, if you've flown enough have had close call--whether it's for mechanical, weather or piloting issues.......

Regardless of the reason for the crash--it's irrelevant to Hatch now........what's important is that he gets better--whether basetball is in his future or not is too, not as important as that he has the support of his friends and family to get through this difficult time.........

06/21/2011 - 4:54pm Ahhh....

Didn't realize that...well good on him for still competing.....that actually really says a lot about the kid......

06/21/2011 - 4:46pm Sooooooo

One interior guy left in this class......which means its either going to be Danny, or Pipkins, no?  Would be a bummer to have to pick one and not both......

BTW, did anyone else notice how Jaleel Johnson smoked Jordan Diamond a couple of times (sts) in that video......

06/19/2011 - 12:29pm It was 1 rep.....

and I wouldn't say he was "man handled"....Elmer certainly stopped him, but let's not get ahead of ourselves too much......

04/27/2011 - 4:49pm Thread Hijack....

Sorry, I don't have enough points to start a new thread but it looks like Gunner Kiel was on campus all day today......would take much (all) of the sting of not getting Pike if we landed him.....plus, we'd take him away from ND so it's a win-win......

Sorry for the hijack, but I though it was pretty good info.........

01/23/2011 - 6:18pm Silents.....

Silents are Willingham and Clark.......

12/28/2010 - 7:39pm Yeah because

there's no coaching uncertainty with an 84 year old head coach.......

12/25/2010 - 3:20am Let's do

Let's do this........LEROOOOOYYYYYYY  JEEEEENNNKKKIIIINSSSSSSSS!!!

12/12/2010 - 4:29am Flight Restrictions

1000' AGL........(much lower (and faster) if it's not a high-vis flyby and you're not worried about getting in trouble.....)   ;)

12/10/2010 - 12:32pm Having done flybys myself......

I can tell you that it's just as fun for us as it is for the crowd....I've done several flybys over sporting events, and the best part of it all is talking with the people in the crowd afterwards when we make it to the game......

I actually contacted MI administration in an attempt to do a flyby over MI stadium for a MI/ND game (brother's a ND grad--I'm a life long MI fan), but I shipped off to a desk job before I could complete the deal.....

I fly F-16s and here's a quick video of my flyby at the Boston Red Sox Game 1 World Series game in 2004 taken from a fan in the stands and posted to YouTube....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcPcxvdoYoI

It would have been awesome to fly over the Big House.........hopefully one of the B-2 pilots is a MI fan at least!!!

Go Blue.....

10/09/2010 - 4:42am Accuracy......

I am curious as to how accurate these predictions (Sagarin, etc) end up being.......there are a lot of stats that I'm just beginning to try and understand.......but looking back historically, how good of a "predictor" are these charts?

Thanks and keep up the great work!
