11/22/2010 - 4:39am Wait,

they still do that in football?  I haven't seen it in a while now, so I just figured that it, like the spead, was dead.

11/20/2010 - 1:48am Anybody else notice

the stadium lights?  They look great - not overbearing or out of place, just fitting perfectly into the design of the towers.  Very nice.

11/13/2010 - 4:16am The answer

to your horrifying hypothetical is Sheridan...

11/08/2010 - 1:13am No

Thank the holder for recognizing the bad snap and adjusting accordingly to get the ball in good position for the kick.  And to that point, perhaps the special teams coach (!!!) gets some thanks too, eh?

11/07/2010 - 1:19am When significantly more

When significantly more people are betting one side of the line, and the line doesn't move (as it tends to do depending on where the money goes), then the "smart betters" or "high rollers" (if you will) are betting the other side.  It means, usually, that the line isn't so obviously a lock as it seems.

In this case, Illinois seemed like the obvious choice (getting 3ish when they seem like they should win).  This led to a mojority of the "small money" being put on the Illinois.  However, the "big money" was put on Michigan (to keep the line as constant as it has been).  This usually alludes to the "pros" (who do way more research and thus more winning) knowing something the general public does not (in this case, Illinois doesn't defend the spread well - at all).

11/07/2010 - 12:39am Wasn't Obi playing the

Wasn't Obi playing the Strong-side OLB because Roh was at DE this week?  This is how I saw the base defensive package:

DE: Roh, Van Bergen

DT/NT: Martin

SOLB: Ezeh

MLB: Demens

WOLB: Mouton

Spur: Gordon

CB: Rogers, Avery (!!)

Bandit: Kovacs

Deep Safety: Vinopal

10/31/2010 - 3:22am Glenn Beck's logic

Hey now, something that doesn't exist can't be more competent.

Can it?

10/31/2010 - 3:20am Clue

Corporations have been calling the plays for both parties for years.

10/31/2010 - 3:13am I understand completely.  As

I understand completely.  As I drove to work (ugh, night shift) and listened to the game I found my oddly calm.  I was disappointed, but not surprised.  Gone was the fire I felt when we made a poor play in games/years past.  Gone was my celebrating when we scored or the defense stepped up (the one frigging time it did).  It was almost...disinterest.  Which of course isn't entirely true, but I just can't bring myself to get too attached to this team anymore.  Maybe it's a defense mechanism after last year, but I find myself waiting for the fall after offensive/defensive success rather than enjoying the moment.

Watching and listening to this game was like watching the scene in Empire Strikes Back when Han gets frozen in carbonite - there are some bad ass moments ("I love you.", "I know") but overall it's just sad.

10/18/2010 - 4:08am If you want to talk numbers:

or for you that'd be 37-61-5.

10/15/2010 - 11:45pm A billion Watts. Giga =

A billion Watts. Giga = 10^9. Hence a Gigabyte is a billion bytes.

08/19/2010 - 3:30pm The moniker is:

08/12/2010 - 3:37pm It's obviously

Jimmy Clausen.  He's so good, he'll be 1st overall 5 out of the next 7 draft classes!

07/12/2010 - 11:33am Droid X

I'm switching to it as well.  I currently have the Blackberry Storm, which is rather meh.  I'm very very excited to get a Droid.

07/08/2010 - 2:41pm I'm pretty sure you just

I'm pretty sure you just broke the third rule of MGoBlog.  The first and second being "Don't talk about MGoBlog", for which I have to punish myself as is.

But seriously, what the hell possessed you to bring politics into a discussion about sports and marketing?

07/01/2010 - 12:40pm No,

they're definitely from Oiho.

04/12/2010 - 3:05pm Nah, I'm far enough away that

Nah, I'm far enough away that radiation is a minor enough concern while I GTFO.

But in all seriousness it'd be really fucking hard to do any serious damage. It would require military grade hardware and very deep knowledge of the plant infrastructure. And even then, you'd have to get past the security forces on site.

Now if you managed to do all that, you'd still have to find a way to breach the primary containment concrete wall and then breach the reactor vessel itself. It'd be insanely complicated and you'd likely die/be captured in the process long before you could do anything really damaging.

But it would make my job suck for a long time. So please don't.

04/12/2010 - 12:18pm Well...

since I'm currently sitting at my desk, staring out my window at the Reactor Building here on the premises of the Enrico Fermi Nuclear Generating Station - I'm pretty sure I'd be worried about my job just a wee bit.

04/12/2010 - 11:13am I respectfully request nobody

I respectfully request nobody blows up the local nuclear plant, because it sucks when your job gets blow'd up. And I really like my job.

04/08/2010 - 9:59am 1st: Haynesworth is 28.

1st: Haynesworth is 28.

2nd: Why the fuck can't we have both? I'm literally salivating at the thought. What a monster D-Line that would be...I mean, go ahead, try to block everyone. You'll have to double-team Haynesworth and Suh, which leaves a DE open unless you use a TE or RB to block him, but that limits the offensive options and doesn't even include blitzing(!!).

03/09/2010 - 2:56pm Come on man...

it was on the front page. Seriously.

03/01/2010 - 9:19pm No no no

they both get your hopes up, and then just let you down.

02/10/2010 - 1:18pm It's behind a paywall

can you blockquote it for those of us who are cheap?

02/09/2010 - 12:34pm This:…

02/04/2010 - 11:35am S is not for Safety

it's for Sentinel.

02/03/2010 - 3:37pm RABACK!!!!!!

WTH are you?

01/29/2010 - 8:07am Wow, the inside of those

Wow, the inside of those luxury boxes looks really good. And I don't think the view is half bad either.

01/27/2010 - 8:03am He definitely does.

He definitely does.

01/25/2010 - 11:35am Speaking of Bioware

Mass Effect 2 on 1-26-10.

01/21/2010 - 12:58pm I seriously hope you mean

I seriously hope you mean Gerald and not Colt.

That being said I'm torn between McCoy and Eric Berry. If Suh is available, however, he HAS to be the pick.

01/19/2010 - 12:02pm damn

I'm disqualified too. It is a pretty sweet calendar though...

01/11/2010 - 4:57pm You'd have to have DNA from

You'd have to have DNA from Charles Woodson in there too.

Maybe with a side of Lamarr Woodley or Brandon Graham for good measure. Or both.

01/11/2010 - 4:54pm I would say it's

I would say it's probable...if not for the fact that it happened mid-season and he waited until after the regular season (but before the bowl game so UF could bein a coaching search if necessary) to announce it.

Look, I don't like the guy either, but at least try to look at the facts before judging someone.

01/07/2010 - 4:24pm You're biased. But still:

And yeah, call me biased, but Ndamukong Suh this year WAS that farking good.

01/06/2010 - 1:55pm It's all very hush-hush.

It's all very hush-hush. But, for the low low price of one internet you can recieve your visa.

01/06/2010 - 1:06pm I've never actually been to

I've never actually been to Dayton myself, but my roommate my freshman year was from Dayton so I used to say stuff like that all the time to him. He was kind of the spoiled rich kid, so perhaps parts of Dayton aren't so bad...

01/06/2010 - 12:38pm What's the fun thing to do in Dayton?

Pack up and get the fuck out.

01/06/2010 - 12:36pm And in order to get an A on

And in order to get an A on said project you have to be using knowledge that can only be aquired by a 500 level course that this semester's course is a prereq for.

01/06/2010 - 11:09am I must know

how does one be "productive" in a crowded riot? Or a rioting crowd for that matter?

01/06/2010 - 11:04am The first day of class is

The first day of class is always just discussing the syllabus anyways. I for one never attended all of my classes the first day. Especially the early ones as I was likely recovering from last nights shenanigans.

12/17/2009 - 3:08pm That's what your other picks

That's what your other picks are for. There is no Jake Long at OT this year; the best player in the draft is Suh. If you have the ability to get him, get more salary cap space, and make your team better why wouldn't you?

12/17/2009 - 3:06pm No, that's not what I'm

No, that's not what I'm saying. Let's not be ridiculous here. Barry was amazing, no doubt about that.

However, looking back on it now: if you could trade Barry Sanders (then) for a combination of 3-5 draft picks or players, would you? I certainly would. One star player on a bad/mediocre team is worth less than 3-5 good/great players on a above average/good team, IME.

12/17/2009 - 3:01pm Peyton Manning, Ben

Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, and Carson Palmer.

12/17/2009 - 2:36pm This was intended as more of

This was intended as more of a "should they offer" the trade.

12/17/2009 - 2:34pm The offense only needs to be

The offense only needs to be average...

12/17/2009 - 2:32pm But, the 02 Pats still won.

But, the 02 Pats still won. Defense wins championships. Barry Sanders, while being the best RB ever to play the game, couldn't win a championship because we had too much money invested in one player (and a shitty organization, but that's another story).

We need to make the team as a whole better, and Suh's presence will do that by making the DL better and the LB position easier (as running through the middle will no longer be as easy).

12/17/2009 - 2:28pm The team is atrocious with

The team is atrocious with him. Defense wins championships. See: Pittsburgh Steelers.

12/17/2009 - 2:26pm Yes, but he's not quite the

Yes, but he's not quite the freak like Suh. His stats: 31 tackles, 14.5 TFL, 5 sacks

12/17/2009 - 2:21pm Tampa needs to win. Tampa

Tampa needs to win. Tampa doesn't need a QB, and Suh's talent is not lost on them.
