This site says he changed his date to NSD....Under the title "Quick Hitters"...  http://mgorecruit.blogspot.com/

Indeed

Though at this stage it is very unlikely until NSD. I'm optomistic that we could get one before, but am not counting on it.

Really ?

You dont think our record and qaulity wins (i know its not to impressive now, but before big ten tourney) can get us in? What kind of record do you think we will have pre-big ten tourney?

Michigan Tourney Chances

What is the chances Blue gets it together and makes the dance? Is beating MSU enough momentum?

Weather?

How the hell do you think it is? It's late January in Michigan!  IT'S COLDER THAN A WITCHES TIT!

Easy

No need to get your panties in a bunch. Hoke and Staff have done solid on the trail so far. Most of the kids visiting AA that can sign, are waiting until signing day. Just remember that in 4 days everyone will know. Don't worry i'm sure the coaching staff are doing everything they can to get these boys to GO BLUE! And remember this....WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN THE HOKESTER RECRUITS YOU? BROTHER!

Cardale Jones

Doesnt qualify Academically to play a Michigan.

Agree completely

That sounds like a recipe for success!

One hell of a beer

it must have been. You'd have to sip it to make sure your tasted every last drop!

How about

The defensive unit scoring some pick 6's. That would be some sweet offense!

Welcome indeed

The class seems to be rounding out quite nicely.

Halftime Speech

Mattison's talk must not of done it yet tonight. Hopefully he sleeps on it and commits in the morning.

Denard and Devin

On the field at the same time. I like it.

How about

Keeping Denard from being injured in every game. He needs to be involved heavily in the offense but he doesnt need to be the WHOLE offense. Someone needs to step up and help take the pressure off him. How about a power run game. That usually helps.

Dont forget about

Jimbo Fisher. He is very well liked. Just snagged Nick O'Leary and seems to be luring kids back to FSU (based on 2011 recruits). I can see them becoming an ACC powerhouse very soon.

Thank you

Thank you.

Source Please

"Well it now appears Michigan has stopped recruiting Flowers"

Please tell me how you got this inside scoop?

Kid Rock's

Bad Ass Lager 6-pack and a few shots of Red Stag and your on your way to a good night.

Ok St Mike Gundy

Gotta be in the top 5 somewhere.

"...Come after me!! I'm a man!! I'm forty!!"

Who wouldnt want to play for that guy?

I disagree

I assume your taking about me since i said exactly that. I do agree that things can change, but at this point Hoke seems to be doing better than expected. I'll again refer to Lemming who was in the Jan. 13 Free Press and negged the class basically as no chance to be salvaged.

It seems as if Hoke is definitely inspiring kids to want to play for Michigan. As far as I see it Hoke has done very good in the limited time he has been given at this point. To call it anything other than a success is crazy. What more do you think Hoke could be doing at this point? Do you really think that Michigan's class could be crippled this late in the game? I dont.

Flint Connection

Being that they are both from the Flint area i would have to assume he is talking about Thomas Rawls.

Here is the article

Its keeps giving me this error when i try to link it....Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted.

I dont know what i am doing wrong. Either way it is in The Detroit Free Press from Jan 13 and it titled "Lemming: Good '11 recruiting class "impossible" for U-M" check it out and help me so i understand why i cant link it.

It could be worse

Considering the circumstances Hoke and his staff have done a hell of a job! Its not easy keeping guys you didnt recruit (on top of having a completely different philosophy) and then trying to get news guys in a 3 week period. The fact that he has even been able to do what he has at this point is remarkable!

Exactly

Lemming and all the scouts were saying that if he could get 10 of the commits to stay committed and add 5 or 6 new player then Hoke would of done a hell of a job. Well i believe he is well on his way! Plus Hoke has 1/2 the time to recruit as RR did!

Hoke

Hoke is getting these guys in here at a rate i didnt think was possible. He really seems to get these guys attentions.

IT'S UP

AND ITS GOOD!

Golden

TomVH tweets are as good as gold! I would now say its official! Maybe now we can think about a FG at the 20 yd line.

Tell me your right

I sure hope that this means Wile is on board. So i'm assuming this is still speculation at this point?

NICE

Thats gotta be one of the best Photoshops ive ever seen. Nice work my friend! WHAT YA GONNA DO WHEN THE HOKESTER COMES FOR YOU BROTHER!?

Just keeps looking better

Coach Hoke is really hot on the trail. The recruiting is  turning out to be much better than originally thought. GO BLUE!

Miami Ink

It your into getting Tatt's check it out, They are expensive, but think about the detail of the block M they could tatt on you. Or even a Wolverine.

The best piece ive read

explaining all this is by Bruce Feldman of ESPN.  Someone asked him about oversigning in college football and this was his response.

"I've actually written about the subject several times and helped on a recent "Outside the Lines" segment on the issue. I was also the commentator discussing it in detail right after the near-10 minute piece aired.

One of the points I brought up on the show was about the practice of schools rewarding coaches with bonuses for signing a "top" class (either top 5, top 10 or top 25), or for landing a certain number of four-star players. With coaches having even more of an incentive to meet certain quotas and rankings, they often try to sign certain recruits that they know might have a very tough time qualifying academically.

I wrote about the "Sign-and-Place" method in "Meat Market," and for schools that deal heavily with junior college recruits, that also factors in. The process is this: Sign the shaky four-star prospect so that you can up your recruiting ranking, impress other prospective recruits, appease your fan base (and, in turn, the administration), increase your own chance of landing that recruiting bonus, and then send the players who can't get in academically to a junior college as if it's a farm system. If the kid turns out to be a complete knucklehead or flops on the field, you forget about him. If not, you didn't take up a spot for two years and then the juco coach, who is thrilled you sent him a talented player, has protected him for you and sends you back a more ready-to-play, developed prospect.

Another key: Because the recruiting cycle has been moved up so much earlier, teams are taking recruits with less of a formed picture academically. They're borderline. Maybe they'll make it in, maybe they won't. Schools hedge their bets by taking commitments from other prospects, knowing they have lawyered-up language to provide them an out in the scholarship letters in the event that they end up "in a best case scenario" on signing day where their recruiting cup runneth over.

I know of one case in which an athlete said he was pushed out for no apparent reason, but then I was later told by a member of that staff that the player was always "a list guy," meaning he was repeatedly in trouble for academics. The schools are sensitive about discussing that publicly for legal reasons. Now, is that spin control or revisionist history? It is hard to say, but I know it's really complicated.

One FBS program I know of has the policy that the program has to keep a file on a kid, so if the team opts to not renew his scholarship, it goes through a school review in which it submits the reasons, which would either be academics-related or drug/alcohol/discipline-related. How good a player he may be cannot factor in. But I'm told that school's policy isn't the norm among FBS programs. The business part of this is that you're talking about one-year deals in essence. Sometimes schools are reluctant to push a kid out more because of the backlash it might cause them down the road, especially if they want to recruit in that kid's area in the future."

ESPN

has him as a 3* and has this to say about him:

"Rawls should be seeing his recruiting stock rise in the near future. He is a physically imposing back with good downhill attributes. Hits the hole with authority and flashes good downhill burst and momentum. Quick to see and hit the cutback.

A decisive and aggressive runner who is constantly heading North with square shoulder pads and good lean. Displays good explosive out of his cuts and can change speeds to elude. Quick and with some fast-twitched bust in his movements. Does not have real loose hips but can redirect sharply and jump-cut the first defender through the hole.

Keeps his legs driving through the hole and runs behind his pads with a strong base. Breaks a lot of first contact and runs hard with good determination and second efforts. A solid, sturdy runner who is difficult to knock off balance. Runs low to the ground and dips the shoulder through traffic making it difficult to get clean shot on him.

Shows an extra gear and when he breaks free into the second level to separate initially but does not project to have ideal long-speed or great elusiveness as a major college back. Breaks consistent first contact but did not see the pile pushing power we were expecting. Competition at times appears inferior.

That said, we still feel like Rawls can contribute as a downhill runner at the major college level and is falling under the radar. Not overly flashy but this guy can pound it between the tackles and move the chains."

They have his 40 time 4.70, shuttle was 4.69 and his vertical at 31.7 inches.

Definitely would be a nice addition. Plus it would give Michigan  the Flint pipeline.Lost out on Ingram a few years back. Flint Area always seems to have a few nice backs.Speaking of the Flint area is Justice Hayes 100% commited to Michigan? Blue cant afford to lose him.

Stafford

If Matt could get a full season under his belt next year the Lions will be pretty solid, The chips are finally falling in place, Dude just needs to learn how to fall down a little more gracefully,

Nice Additional Pic

Now you have 224 and were on the same page.

Also Confused

I too, see only the 2 and 4.

Eddie was definitely

what you would call a ladies man,  He has that swagger about him.

Sorry

Wow a double post also due to the hoppiest brew of all.

Cheers!

On the account of drinking Hopslam.

Thank you

I appreciate you answering my ?.

How about

a mini-keg of Hop-Slam. A few pint glasses really hits the spot.

Denard doesnt compare to Vick

b/c he isnt Vick nor is he T Smith. I dont really think there is really anyone you could really compare to Denard. What he does is all his own. He is a remarkable athlete that has a very unique skill set.

Rankings

This is my first post on this site. So hello to everyone.Off subject a little but some threads start with OT....what does this mean?

My thinking on class rankings is that scouts at this level are average. A lot of these so-called scouts dont even watch all the kids play and only watch during one game. Some kids simply dont mature until they are 20-21 or just didnt impress the scout. Top classes are like a tits, nice to look at, but the bra (Good Coaching/Hard Work) is the real support.
