02/22/2018 - 9:37pm Come on man

In addition to the crazy conspiracy theory, You didnt spell saban or spartan properly..

02/06/2018 - 4:31pm I always thought it was a reason for Infinite Jest jokes

And its probably the thing that makes me laugh hardest every time its posted.

01/01/2018 - 5:36pm Idiot?

Because i consider scot loeffler a stupid suggestion as an oc and possible hc?
More likely someone who has seen the last 15 years of football and formed an informed opinion.

01/01/2018 - 5:28pm Double post

My bad..

01/01/2018 - 5:27pm Our qbs flourished, yes..

In 1999!
I think ill trust harbaugh in 2018 over scot "i coached joey harrington in the 0 and 16 season" loeffler.
He is not a candidate for oc or in whatever nutty world you live in, hc!

01/01/2018 - 5:09pm Loeffler? Lol

The guy hasnt done anything since he was at michigan in 99.
If you wanted to give a good coordinator as a suggestion that would actually make you useful. But you have stuck to your MO once again.
Thank you for wasting all of our time!
Do you want debord next? Maybe english should replace brown bc we gave up 26 today?

12/03/2017 - 3:49pm I just checked it out

Salty, thats the only word that i can use to describe it..
Salty, salty.

12/03/2017 - 11:00am If hes 100%

I hope that they play him. To get the extra practice and game reps, because i doubt that hes around for a 5th year. Hes too talented.
But anything less than 100 pct, and i hope they sit him. Call it drake harris shell shock, but black is too important a piece for the next 2 or 3 years to risk something that lingers.

11/29/2017 - 8:00pm +1

Thank you.
I have wanted to fisk that idiot all night and just couldnt bring myself to do it in a manner that was even close to respectful.

11/27/2017 - 5:41pm Not working here either.

And thank you for the fix to whomever was right on top of it.

11/24/2017 - 5:52pm Thats what it is, someone call harbaugh

Its the fire. None of em have it. How did this coaching staff miss it?

Quite obviously /s

11/19/2017 - 8:39pm Quit drinking and goto bed.

You have obviously forgotten the american sniper kerfuffle.
Jim harbaugh is not a liberal conspiracy.
Get a life!

11/18/2017 - 5:44pm OL?

They didnt really block the run well after the 1st quarter, but that was probably their best pass pro game this year?
Considering how pass heavy we went, i thought it was the best game this year by the ol considering the opponent.
The drops and bad tracking by crawford bugged me way more than the ol on the first watch.

11/05/2017 - 12:33pm Who exactly do you have in mind?

I think that the 10th spot should be a wr coach, and that we should have had one this year with all of the youth. But thats my only coaching quibble.

11/04/2017 - 8:28pm We were at 5 and 2 with the starter injured

After 2 10 and 3 years with a 5th yr transfer and a borges recruit rs soph, and we had people calling for harbaugh on this board.
3 and 9 is never "seamless"

11/02/2017 - 10:12pm Damn..

Double post.

11/02/2017 - 10:10pm This.. what the enlightened one said.

The fbi has far more important crap to do.
The only reason they would be involved has nothing to do with ncaa rules and far more to do with unpaid taxes and money laundering through financial advisors.
This does nothing more than show how impotent the ncaa is and how archaic their rules are.

10/28/2017 - 1:34pm Well, we can eliminate one user

From the "is this actually alex smith's mgoblog handle" sweepstakes.

10/23/2017 - 9:34pm Can we get a clarification from wd on this reebok year?

Im not remembering this 10 years ago, it would have to be 25 to 30 years ago for me not to recall it, and i still dont think it happened.
Im giving a -1, but if im wrong, i welcome my trip to bolivia and will throw out a sincere apology.

10/16/2017 - 9:14pm I wish this were true

But there are actual people who believe this crap.
And then proceed to regurgitate it.

10/09/2017 - 8:59pm You have to be a moron

This has been known to any regular reader since harbaugh got here.
There have been many discussions about how playcalling is handled.
All offensive staff give their choice and harbaugh makes the call. Each play also has 2 runs and a pass built in that the qb chooses from whats shown at the line.
This question was useless to any knowledgable fan and was nothing but a writer asking harbaugh to throw drevno or pep under a bus..

09/24/2017 - 9:42pm I dont believe that

And i dont think that jim harbaugh or this staff believe that one bit..
If what you say is true we would have service academies winning the playoff every year. But we have about 50 years of evidence to the contrary. We just got to experience the best high school offense on earth and held them to 220 yards.
Against the purdues of the world, with our talent advantage it should work.
But going into psu, wisc, osu, or the playoff will get you smoked.
Either way, the staff needs to coach em up. If its teaching jok the whole offense or settling speight, or whatever is peters problem. This staff is paid as well as any in america, they should be able to get us there.

09/24/2017 - 6:46pm Driesbach also threw that touchdown..

Driesbach also threw that touchdown..
So hes a kid with good taste..

09/24/2017 - 6:39pm Ok, the int was not behind perry at all.

But that does not matter at all. Jok was a competent backup doing his job.
But, please, watch this game again. This was a hoke, debord offense that we won with.
Please, find some jet motion. Please, find a 10 or 01 package. I saw okorn go thru a progression once in 3 quarters.
Michigan has run a full nfl offense for the last 3 weeks and ran a high school offense for the last 3 quarters. And everyone is kissing the qbs backside for winning with a high school offense, against purdue! Michigan should win with a high school offense against purdue any day.
Harbaugh is not conservative in any way. He is building an offense to beat psu, wisc and osu. And the offense that beat purdue will not do that.
Maybe pep, drevno, and harbaugh do need to dial back the offense ( this is my take, especially with a young line and receivers), but my guess is that they feel a qb who can execute 75 pct of their offense has a better chance than a qb who can execute 85 pct of half of their playbook.

09/24/2017 - 6:19pm Ok, i have to ask

What makes a person whos been on the blog for over 5 years, with 8 pts, pop up to make this comment?
I mean maybe youre right about backing off contact (i don't see that, but im willing to concede it is a possibility).
But not using his feet? He steps up all day to avoid the rush. And running has never been in the top 20 of his strengths. This is even if someone were to compile a top 20 wilton speight strengths.

09/21/2017 - 9:16pm And the brains that are genetically prone to cte..

Are also genetically predisposed to be drawn to football?
Bc that would be the next step in your argument that would end in the result being that an alarming number of ex football players experience cte.
Wouldn't this follow that if your kid wants to play football, dont let him bc hes probably genetically prone to cte.
Btw, i dont think this is true at all. A bunch of blows to the head in any setting probably just erodes the brain and makes most anyone more likely to lose the ability to reason and commit violence.

09/21/2017 - 9:02pm Do you work for the nfl?

If not, maybe they should consider hiring you.
Did junior seau kill himself bc of those reasons? Corwin brown? Or the stacks of other former players who have committed suicide or violent acts.
I doubt that anyone kills themself, or commits violent acts entirely due to cte. But it does obviously impair reason in a way that makes these acts more likely.

09/18/2017 - 9:39pm Ok, im as much as a harbaugh stan as everyone else here

But to say that ANY college coach doesnt live by the press is ridiculous. The guy didnt say live for the press.
Harbaugh can do what he wants and be himself, not performing in any way for anyone.
But that does not mean that he doesnt make a living from his press. Recruiting is the lifeblood of any program, and there is no chance that he recruits the classes that he has had the last 2 years without a great staff and without the name recognition that he gets from the press to get in the door anywhere in the country.
In addition the leeway that harbaugh has been afforded this year, with pretty much all offensive blame being placed on speight or drevno, is directly related to the press labeling him a savior for the last 2 years.

09/11/2017 - 9:46pm I wish that were true

But we all know that turd bag michigan fan who we dont like to be associated with.
They do exist in aa just as they do in state college, columbus or east landfill, as unfortunate as that is..
If you love a player, or bash them, just take this as a reminder like the oneill stuff. Keep it civil and if you know that guy who goes a bit overboard, stand up and tell him hes being an idiot, please.
Hes making us all look bad.

09/11/2017 - 9:25pm Well said

The hardest part of being a qb is the mental part, and nobody can accuse speight of having michigan in bad calls.
It would be nice to have 5 or 6 5star qbs in the line, who all know the offense, but thats not reality at this point.
Im not willing to worry about 18 at this time, because this team has enough talent to compete this year.
But, its apparent that no other qb on this team has shown the staff that they understand the offense enough to make the 5 plays that speight loses to mechanics each game worth a change.

09/11/2017 - 6:05pm Staring down receivers and not going thru a progression?

Sloppy footwork, acknowledged.
Fumbles, acknowledged.

Not going thru a progression is you projecting something.
Speight goes thru a progression as well as any quarterback that ive seen at michigan, which would be back to grbac and collins.
Part of this is playcalling and the heavy use of max pro to cover for the right side of the line. We have seen more 2 or 3 receiver patterns in these 2 games than in the last 2 years under harbaugh. When there are only 2 reads, it may look like the qb isnt going thru a progression when really there isnt a progression to go thru.
This may be a pep hamilton change (i doubt this), a lack of confidence in speight (i doubt this too), a lack of confidence in the line, and a lack of confidence in inexperienced receivers. I personally think that the playcalling is options 3 and 4 bc they were far more creative last year with the same qb and experienced receivers and a line that didnt get much push, but generally didnt blow pass pro.
There is enough to mark speight down for already on tape. Adding an inability to go thru progressions which is patently false is not really needed for your argument.

08/24/2017 - 4:25pm Thats going to be a fun group to watch though.

Nobody wants that trip to turkey bc theyre crazy and leipzig is really good.

06/07/2017 - 8:06pm well played sir..

Thats a classic
+1 to you..

06/07/2017 - 7:37pm agreed

Tom gores in an msu ed hardy t shirt..
The situation in something green and white..
The dominos delivery guy on st particks day?
Come on..

05/15/2017 - 9:49pm Cormac mccarthyTed

Cormac mccarthy
Ted williams
Ho chi minh
Oliver cromwell
Isaac newton

I have a feeling ho and cromwell get in a fight or become best friends step brothers style..
Number 6 is st peter.

12/06/2016 - 3:26pm i dont know if youre trying to say the offer is made up

By flecks agent. But i went to the western game fri with 2 guys who are pretty well connected at westerns athletic dept and they mentioned the 10 yrs, $30 mil then..

12/05/2016 - 11:23am whos this?

Maybe im a moron, or born too early (1981).
If you say something stupid, like brady hoke, i hope you have a good friend who will nut shot you.
Is there a real answer beyond gary andersen?

12/04/2016 - 3:02pm this

Theyre tied together.
The line should have been able to execute basic plays by the end of the season without the missed assignments.
The offensive staff should have known better than anyone that the o line wasnt stanford level and that the play calling needed to be a bit more aggressive than they would have liked to close out close games.

12/04/2016 - 1:59am i think well just agree to disagree..

Edit and it double posted

12/04/2016 - 1:57am i think well just agree to disagree..

Ive watched plenty of michigan football over the last 15 to 20 years and lloyd had a few soft teams of his own.. and there were plenty of tough guys who played under hoke and rich rod.
I see where you are trying to go with a team mentality, but to single out jabrill originally doesnt work. Is he any tougher or a better leader than gallon? Gardner? Denard? I dont know and probably only their teammates really know.
And please, no more football is war. Its not, plain and simple. I know a few people who have done both, and most people here probably do too, and theyre not the same.

12/03/2016 - 8:11pm umm, nooo...

Jabrill is a valuable member of that defense because he blows up half of the things that most productive offenses like to do today with his athleticism.
Not because of feelingsball crap.
If he never said a word that d is still great and hes still a top 5 nfl pick.

11/30/2016 - 1:58am im not saying that michigan should be in over osu

Or really even psu if they win.
And yes. The committee should drop osu below penn st if they win, precisely because they are not playing saturday. Its their own fault theyre not playing saturday, this isnt their bye week, this is championship game week. just like its michigans fault theyre not playing sat.
If the committee wants to go by the eye test of whos playing best right now, than thats even easier. Bama, osu, um, and usc. But i dont see that happening either.
So yes. My choice, should clemson, washington, and penn state win saturday would be for ohio state to be the 5 even though penn state has an extra loss because penn state beat them already and will have a championship.

11/29/2016 - 8:48pm the committee has been pretty clear

That wins over good teams matter more than losses.
As far as how it ends up, ill wait until its over to go on a rant. But if clemson and washington both win and psu wins the b1g the committee will find themselves walking a slippery slope if they choose osu over psu bc theyre saying that the head to head win and conference championship mean nothing.

11/28/2016 - 7:03am i doubt he has time for that

But if they have something on the topic in audiobook im sure he can catch up in his rig.

11/07/2016 - 7:35pm mork!

Now we know your mgoblog handle.
Great first drive up in el, but how has that worked out for you the rest of this season?

11/07/2016 - 10:57am ill say this again..

just like we used to say in high school when ripping off the student section..

11/04/2016 - 4:01am i dont think les is going to nd

But the more i look at the landscape, i think that hell grab a very nice job.
Beyond herman. Theres no real big candidate, but there are a lot of very good jobs.
Nd could be one. What happens if lsu, nd, tx, ucla, usc all open up? With herman as the only real home run candidate. If jimbo or sumlin were to take another job. (Btw, i dont know their buyouts) but either could be wise to look at ucla, fsu, nd, tam, tx or usc for various reasons..
All would be jobs with established talent that someone who has won a national championship could appeal to.
( i leave out lsu bc i think herman or jimbo probably takes that job)

11/03/2016 - 10:13am it doesnt matter

On to the next plan im sure.
It also doesnt appear(from this article) that this proposal would prevent someone from packing up the tutors and going during classes if they wanted.

11/02/2016 - 2:42am Blasphemer!!

Im sorry sir, you need to stay in omaha..
East landfill pizza house franchise does not count as pizza house, just like the local chicago style pizza franchise is not,i repeat.. NOT, chicago style pizza.

10/31/2016 - 8:58pm ok, if were going to go there..

holmes didnt actually kill at the chicago worlds fair though. Hed built some nutbag murder maze out of sweeney todd or a saw movie that he advertised as a boarding house..
Anyways thx for the answer, ill assume holmes it is. Didnt know if we had a genocidal dictator that you were including..
