Did you watch Happy Gilmore yet?

When Sam Webb is not there, the Roundtable is a huge train wreck. Ira is consistently awful and has bad opinions and bad taste, Ed Feng adds zero value whilst claiming that "his" numbers tell him things that are just wrong, and poor Craig is reduced to an odd quip when his insights are the only thing holding the conversation together. The Michigan fanbase deserves way better.

You must be fun at parties.

Or do you just say this whenever someone wants to say anything semi-serious?

(S)he didn't "say" anything serious. All that was said was Ira has "bad opinions and bad taste", Ed Feng is wrong about his "numbers", and Craig is deemed useless except for quips without, you know, any real examples of any of these in the podcast. It's an off-season podcast discussing some SEC bitching; you think Sam would have made it demonstrably better or different? But whatever, I guess he spent a bunch of time listening to a podcast he didn't like, the decided to comment on it in the most generic way possible.
Apparently you liked this comment, so hooray for you, I guess.

would have made it better, because he would have mostly stayed out of the way.
And if there was nothing serious, why the 'fun at parties' snark? I guess I don't get that. Because of the complaints?
if so, you must also be fun at parties

Was really looking forward to the hour-long rant, but most of what I heard was Ira blurting interruptions, then motormouthing on for minutes at a time. What's the point of intelligent guests if you can't hear them? Ira has the whole rest of the show to go on tangents. He should just have Brian and Craig and ask them questions. I don't mind Ed but he clearly doesn't fit in this context.

I think he talks so quickly because he knows that no one is asking for his opinion.
Could you imagine driving cross-country with Ira? Or watching a movie with him -- that he's already seen but you haven't? I'd eat a gun.
