Zoltan Returns to Judge Mock Rock (and Dhani Jones Will Host)

Submitted by MGoShoe on

Mock Rock should be quite the event this year as several notables are on tap to participate.

The host of Mock Rock 2011 will be Dhani Jones, a former U-M football player (1996-99) who plays for the Cincinnati Bengals and tours the globe with a show on the Travel Channel.

Notable Michigan leaders and alumni judge the performances every year. This year's celebrity judges are:

  • Brady Hoke, new Michigan football head coach
  • Jan Brandon, wife of athletics director Dave Brandon
  • Zoltan Mesko, former Michigan football player and current New England Patriots punter
  • Adam Schefter, Michigan alum and ESPN analyst
  • Elise Ray, former Michigan gymnast and Olympic bronze medalist
  • Dan Sygar, president of Letterwinners M Club

Tickets are now on sale for Mock Rock, the variety show presented by current University of Michigan student-athletes. General tickets are $10 and premium tickets are $15 for the event, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Hill Auditorium.

Whenever Adam Schefter does his "Insider Reports" on the NFL, they show his office, and there's almost always a Michigan helmet over his shoulder if they show enough of his office

Damn.. beaten to it. Props, good sir

I kinda had a feeling it would be Dhani this year. Adam Schefter and Zoltan are pleasant surprises as judges. Zoltan's ratings should count as 100000x as everybody else's since he is the space emperor of space.

Sounds awesome.

In other news, Zoltan is f*cking awesome.  Had an opportunity to talk with him because my friend dragged (at the time I didn't want to go) me to some Cru event and it happened to be with the fellowship of Christian athletes and he was there.

Fun stuff, promises to be entertaining.
