Zoltan Could Have Been a Buckeye

Submitted by Foote Fetish on

According to AnnArbor.com, Zoltan at one time considered using his powers for evil:

Let us all give thanks to Zoltan and be joyful that we managed to sway the Mighty Space Emperor to our cause.

The above link also includes footage of Mesko practicing raining justice down on the field using the power of his golden leg.

Zoltan is a Buckeye, butterfly effect also leads to streets littered with dead angels, George W. Bush as world emperor, Lee Corso as President of the Provincial Sector of America, chocolate revealed to be carcinogenic, universal prohibition,
Earth crashes into sun, sun crashes into Charlie Weiss, Galaxy devoured by the Godhead which takes the form of vast H-bomb powered sweater vest. And the Rapture turns out to be bunk.

I am actually surprised he went to Michigan. He went to the high school I am currently attending (Twinsburg High School) and everyone here is anti Michigan. Even the teachers discriminated against me because I like Michigan, no joke. My history teacher would give out bonus points for answering sports questions and never once picked on me. He would also make stupid Michigan jokes and make fun of me everyday for liking Michigan. The football staff is also always wearing Ohio State shirts and hats. I have not been able to meet Zoltan personally but one of my friends is the goalie on our soccer team and apparently Zoltan knows some soccer because he has done some kicking sessions with my friend. Really cool guy and glad he picked Michigan.

Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to tOSU.

Thankfully he never started down that path.

The Space Emperor is very good, but do you know how good you need to be to be picked in the 1st round as a specialist? As fratty as I can say this, you need to be super crazy awesome brah.

For Z to go 1st round you would need to pick him over many other needs, such as WR, RB, OL, etc etc etc. Unless a teams punter sucked major ass, Z will never go in the 1st round. Plus, wouldn't you kill the lions GM if he drafted a punter in the 1st round?

It would be expected. "With the second overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Lions select... Zoltan Mesko, punter from Michigan."

*derisive laughter in the crowd*

Zoltan teleports to the stage and gets his picture, shakes hands, and goes down as the first 22-time pro bowler in NFL history. And with the Lions' offense, you know they need a good punter.

"Earth crashes into sun, sun crashes into Charlie Weiss"

Damn near spit my drink on to the screen with that one.

Edit: meant for Wildcat Blue

Hmm....

"But when the Buckeyes dragged their feet in offering a scholarship, Mesko committed to Michigan."

Sounds a bit like what we're doing to Mike Sadler. Fortunately, Hagerup should be announcing soon and there's no indication that Sadler's turning toward the dark side.

Still, I have nightmares about losing Hagerup, turning to Sadler, and finding him huddled in a corner like Gollum stroking his Alabama offer while repeating "my precious."

i like the fact that we stole this guy from the Buckeyes but what i dont understand is how you could be such a big fan of a team and commit to your most hated rival? does that make sense? Would anyone here do that if they were offered a scholarship to both school?

right that makes sense but if your such a big Ohio state fan as it was mentioned in the article what do you do once you get to Michigan? You couldnt possibly still root for Ohio State. I dont know it just seems a little weird to me

I think everything changes if you're actually in the position to choose. It's easy as a fan to say you'd never go someplace, but it's different when there's a scholarship being offered and you weigh the pros and cons.
