Zeke Pike to make decision this week per 247Sports

A lot of us easily assume that he's declaring right after the auburn visit means hes going there. However, isn't it roughly a 50/50 chance (from our perspective) that he visited and loved it or visited and realized its not the place for him?
But with Auburn..... I don't know. Not sure there's a dirtier program out there. Not that this applies to Pike. I'm sure he's clean.
People mention Barnett recruiting Pike to come to UofM quite a bit, but I am fairly certain every school has a player or two in his ear about going there as well.
It's not like Pike has contacts all over the country. He's not Obama. He and Barnett are friends. Furthermore, Ringer has been in his ear as well. They became friends when they were in on a visit together.
I am not certain Pike and Barnett are real close freinds other then the fact they have come to know each other thru football over the past couple years and hit it off (don't know that for certain). Mostly what I was refering to is that any of the schools he goes to there will be people hitting him up like Ringer was here...obviously not a sure thing, but not far fetched to assume there is a "Ringer" or "Barnett" at every stop he goes to.
But who wouldn't wanna be better friends with Michigan-type people anyway?

We could have an amazing class if we got pike. Between ringer and royce already and then pike, I'm sure more top recruits would want to come as well. Which would be a great start to the hoke era.
To elaborate on this a little more, I was told something by someone I trust that made it seem like Michigan has a chance. The Auburn visit could have changed that, so we'll see what he does on Wednesday.

He just said this info. came prior to his visit to Auburn this weekend. We all know a visit to Auburn can change any recruiting scenario.
I'd love to get Pike, though I'd certainly feel more comfortable if we could've gotten him to come back to campus before his announcement. Ann Arbor owns all.

I've been looking at pictures of Auburn's campus on their website. They don't have anything on Ann Arbor. It's ugly as hell. The biggest park they have is nothing more than an open field. Between Ann Arbor or Auburn, the choice should be clear.

After having been on their campus several times and the surrounding area, I can say this is far from true. It's no Ann Arbor but it is also not "ugly".
I know that these top kids don't often shy away from competition, but you gotta think that Michigan has the advantage here. amirite?

Oh please, once the season went south I think everyone knew he was going to Bama. His friend went there and Saban has job security, can't blame him for that at all.

Just opinion, but I have a good feeling about Pike. Not sure if you have ever been to Kentucky but I frequent the area a lot on business and they could be some of the nicest people on earth. Our staff seems so genuine that he would feel a lot more "at home" at Michigan.
If he toured SEC country last week and still has us on top with just Auburn (and Purdue) it would make me think that he used UofM as the bar and really did not find what he was looking for down there.
Just speculating and i REALLY hope that I am correct.

I may just opt to go into hibernation until Wednesday afternoon to avoid the rollercoaster ride that this blog will be on until then ha Finals are a non factor. Hopefully waking up to the ring leader of the "MEGA-CLASS"
My sources lead me to be optimistic that he will commit to Michigan. However, Auburn is one of the dirtiest programs in the country, so I will remain muted in my optimism until Wednesday.
