Zavier Simpson appreciation thread

This guy is phenomenal. I can't believe how far he has come. Many didn't believe in him. He is going to be GREAT! Great win! Go Blue!

Matthews was known to be bad. it's the rest that are disappointing, Simpson especially IMO. you need your point guard handling the ball in crunch time. he's a huge liability in that sense. we can sub out Matthews, but not simpson

he scored some points in OT, but this thread is way over the top. as a pg he needs to get the offense moving and get the ball to open guys. he didn’t do that for the most part

To play Devil's advocate, their guards weren't hitting good shots, they were throwing up circus prayers that somehow went in far more than statistically likely. He was also 6/6 from inside the arc, the only guy who could consistently score when he got inside.

I mean, Minnesota's two guards had 48 points and Simpson was 1-8 from 3. He did have some drives to the hoop but today wasn't one of his better efforts.

I'm sorry but the dude had so many opportunities to take mid range jumpers and doesn't cause cannot shoot the ball. When He can start hitting buckets consistently other than layups then he'll deserve an appreciation.

Looks like 2 guys almost lead Minnesota to an upset. Honestly glad Michigan does have to play them at the Barn.

Uh.. can’t exactly call a guy who went 1-8 from three and is shooting under 50% from the free throw line on the season phenomenal. He’s an okay player who has his strengths, and has some glaring weaknesses that can really hurt this team in some games. He’s okay. You can say he’s good if you’d like. But phenomenal is a bit much. He’s not there yet
