Youtube TV
Hey fellow blog members,
Recently, me and my wife purchase the youtube tv app for our TV. We love it as its cheaper and I have most of the sports channels such as BTN, all ESPN networks and local channels. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining our account. We have four spots open, with being $42.00/month split any five ways would be cheap. If so, feel free to dm/email me at [email protected] for more details.
Nice try, Zach.
your email is about to be scraped by google bots and all sorts of sweepers. might want to edit and break up your email address to avoid the deluge of junk mail.
How's the quality? Are you really getting 60 fps on sports channels?
Not onboard with the above plan, but yes the service is great. I have a Chromecast ultra and sports channels come in great. No hint of lag/buffering, etc.
It's excellent quality. Supposed to be 60 fps for ESPN, but partly dependent on internet speeds. Don't forget all the networks and ESPN are only broadcasting in 720p/1080i.
Serious question: do you have to be in a specific geographical market to make it work? We are about to turn our TV on for our annual 4 months of being hooked up to satellite and maybe YouTube TV would work?
Only way to know for sure is to try it. During the sign up process you have to enter your zip code and at that point it'll tell you if it's available in your area. They have a 7 day free trial.
FYI, only 3 streams can be used at the same time, so if you share it 5 ways and all 5 try to watch a Michigan game or something, 2 of you are going to be shit out of luck.
Thanks for the advice.
Mods. Can we delete this thread? found another way to do it.

My wife and I*
Seems legit.
A few problems with your idea.
* Though you are allowed 5 accounts, only 3 streams are allowed at a time. They assume that the family will actually occasionally watch things together. A Michigan game on BTN may be a problem for all five people
* location services are required to be enabled, and YoutubeTV states that is the family accounts aren't regularly making a presence at home base, the account will be disabled
* good lord, it is $40 a month. It is a swinging deal. Please stop trying to figure out a way to steal $32 this back and make it more expensive for people who aren't stealing

I’m in. I’m going to pay you 2 years in advance but all my money is tied up and I need a permit to free it. Send me $3,000 to assist with this routine, procedural step and I’ll send you a check for $5,000 after. Win-win.
Only way I would go with YouTube is if Google was my IP or if my IP had a deal with them otherwise that shit is going to start to get throttled down in the near future

Comcast already has data limits. My wife works from home. The 3 kids watch videos all night. My mother in law moved in with us. I am now going over the data limit on a plan that already costs $100/month for 150 mbps. That's the plan that used to be 75 mbps for a lot less money. On top of that, everything is buffering even when no one is on the internet. If I want to spend $150/month on internet, I can get unlimited data.
I'd rather drop to a less expensive plan but I'm pretty sure they have it set up to give less data if you have a slower speed. It's a nice scam especially since they have a monopoly in my area.
