Your MGoName

Submitted by GoBlueScott on January 28th, 2010 at 12:04 PM

I can't remember this being posted, if it's ever been done, so if it somehow slipped my attention I'll apologize now. Even so, we have quite a few new peeps around here, and I am constantly wondering why you chose your MGoName.

Some, of course, are obvious.

Some are not. Like, "Brian." Always confused me.

Why did you choose yours?

I'm really hoping Misopogon answers.

The Shredder

I am late to this party but.. I grew up in Japan and became a ninja. My pet Rat clawed my face. I then felt so much shame I hid myself and called myself the Shredder. I moved to the states where I ironically ran into the same rat but now he was huge and also was a ninja. He had four Turtle sons who I fight on a daily basis. I once had to take a trip to AA for foot clan convention and hit a Michigan football game for the hell of it. I was hooked. I am now a huge fan and still have yet to get my hands on those Turtles.

I made my screenname sometime during the 2008 Election. Just wanted to sign up really quickly and couldn't think of something, so the constant images of Obama being drilled into my mind just made it happen for me.

For what it's worth, I'm a Republican and can't stand our President, but that's for another site.

UMdad

I am a michigan alum and a proud parent of 5 and 3 year old boys, a 1-1/2 year old girl and a baby on the way. On a side note, I tried to find a still of the dad from 'How I got into College' as my avatar, but couldn't find one. For those of you who aren't up on crappy 80's movies, the main character's love interest brought her dad on a college visit and he came in UofM garb from head to toe. Keep on the lookout for me. Thanks

I was at a party one time, and one of my friends said I look like a Viking. I'm 6'3" and 246.4 lbs. (as of this morning) and I had wild facial hair at the time. He gave me the nickname "Magnus the Berserker."

BlueBulls

I grew up watching superstars like Stacey King, Cliff Livingston, Randy Brown, Bobby Hanson, and Dickey Simpkins just destroy people for years. How could I not be a Bulls fan?

Ergo, I love the Bulls and M an equally unhealthy amount.
