Year old comments?
I'm curious if anyone else is seeing posts from a year ago popping up on their "My mgopoints" page. I've been getting listings with operation "expiry" and -1 points, and corresponding ones with operation "insert" with +1 points. Just wondering what's going on there.
I'm having the same problem
You have over 15,000 points (that cannot be used for anything) and you are worried that they are not counting them correctly?
I'll give you a useless point for that hilarity.
The best thing about MGoPoints is you can give them to other people and not lose anything.
Like herpes!
With herpes, I think it is the opposite -- when you give it to someone else it would be nice if you lost it.
Yeah I didn't think that one through... so I edited my comment!
What's in your wallet?
I'm just curious what's going on. If you can get it cleared with the right people, you're welcome to have a few thousand of my points.
They obviously are far more important to you.
Just sayin'.
CLEARLY the only anybody would care is because OMGPOINTS.
They couldn't just be curious about how things work behind the scenes. Surely not, no. They'd have to be insane to do that!
I've noticed the same thing. I sent a message to Brian asking about it and he replied that it was most likely a bug. Something about him working on the points system during the offseason.
was there a lawsuit and Supreme Court decision about this points system?
I heard 15,000 points gets you a bosu ball, bicycle shorts, and an MGoBlog fanny pack.
In looking back at some of the comments that have resurfaced in my points list, I noticed that at 25,000 points there may be a date with Jessica Alba. If that's not happening, I'll gladly take the prizes you mentioned, but otherwise I'll just keep saving.
35,000 for a date with Nicole Scherzinger. But, I'm still saving up the 100,000 for a date with Brian.

....sloppy seconds?
On the contrary. I consider it a privilege.
Ahhhh... like "the show where everything is made up and the point's don't matter."
too bad it had Wayne Brady
Alright, so when the sub routine compounds the interest, it uses all these extra decimal places that just get rounded off. So we simplified the whole thing, we rounded them all down, and drop the remainder into an account we opened.
It's aggregate, so I'm talking about fractions of an MGoPoint here. But we do it from a much bigger tray, and we do it a couple a million times.
Just make sure you have the decimal point in the right place!
The interesting thing about the year old comments is that they are listed as having been posted in 2010. Clicking on them reveals they were posted exactly one year to the day.
