Woodson to take Keyshawn's spot on Sunday NFLCountdown

Per the article, Chuck already has a job lined up for life after football with ESPN on SUnday NFL Countdown.  And in my opinion a huge upgrade over Keyshawn.

Per McIntyre, Woodson will join the current cast of Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Mike Ditka, and Cris Carter. However, many in the industry expect the lineup to last only one year, with even more changes coming in 2017 as the network tries to unload bloated salaries and simultaneously skew younger.

Hopefully Carter is on of the others that is asked to move on after next season.  He's also brutal.

Keyshawn is an asshole.  I ran into him at a Super Bowl party a few years back and along with a buddy went up to say hi and have a few words with him.  He was standing alone with his bodyguard talking to no one at the time.  He had his bodyguard push us away with a "Keyshawn doesn't want to talk with you right now".  We relayed the message to my buddy's brother who was the one hosting the party and 30 minutes later his boyguard found us and told us "Keyshawn will talk with you now".  We just laughed and walked away.

Awesome! Always need more Michigan representation at the WWL. Having Woodson on there will be great for Michigan football.

Keyshawn was awful when he started, but he's like the most improved announcer in the history of the world. Still not great, but man, he's actually not bad now. Carter is just death-defyingly awful.

They better NEVER get rid of Tom Jackson though. EVER.

Raise your hand if you wish they'd go back to just boomer and Tommy for 90 minutes on Sunday nights.

Berman has been doing the same gaggy shit forever and should sail off into the flippin' sunset as younger blood with a new style is needed. Jackson's second fiddle echo chamber act can go too. Carter stays with Woodson and then add one more young voice to boot.

Leaders And Best

I don't think that would have been a barrier to hiring Woodson. Eisen & Woodson are both pros. Woodson had also already done a bunch of part-time analyst work on NFL Network. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to hire him because Eisen loves him, but ESPN may have outbid them.

I would love to see Woodson & Manning both on ESPN replacing Keyshawn and Cris Carter. I think both are going to be excellent on TV.

Cris Carter is bad. He has told all the stories he can tell about how Randy Moss wouldn't have even made the practice squad without the tutelage of football hero Cris Carter.

I don't watch it because I can't stand Chris Berman. man, I remember when I was a kid, and all I ever watched was espn. now, I look for any other sports channel as so many on espn are UN watchable. that and the fact that espn has their own agenda and I can't stand that.

saying get rid of CC. How does he suck what the hell? He went to OSU ok. He is one of the most entertaining people on the NFL sunday morning crap on espn. Him, Chris Berman and Tom Jackson are the best.

never understood why people would want to listen to the likes of: keyshawn, dion or sharpe. I might actually tune in to hear pregame for the first time in a long time.

I tired of listening to Ray Lewis tell us how good a person he is about 10 minutes after that murdering shithole was hired.  As long as neither Desmond nor Charles have to share a stage with him, I'll be good...

I am happy for him, but it reminds me I am not ready yet for football without Woodson. That guy has been a constant for 21 years. That's well over half of my life.

Hate the nfl shows but i'll check this out. Woodson has always been cooler than cool to me. Hopefully he doesnt get contaminated by the clowns he'll be working with.
