Wiscy v. tO$U

The game has been predictably banal. Pryor is 1/7 passing, and after almost throwing a second pic, I swore I heard the boo birds coming out. Can't help but enjoy that.

I wish I could watch but ABC decided not to broadcast this anywhere on the west coast. I thought ESPN2 was supposed to pick up the Big 10 games that aren't shown out west but they have on some NASCAR crap.

I'm in Tustin. It's about halfway between L.A. and San Diego. Obviously I get UCLA/Oregon on ABC and Pitt/UConn or NASCAR on ESPN/2. Time could not pass quickly enough. EDIT: Definite +1 one for you, my friend. I guess I'm already buzzing because I didn't actually register what you said about HD vs. non-HD. I never knew ESPN did this! Thanks!

but Ohio State is f'ing annoying! Instead of giving up pick sixes and KO returns for TD's, how about somebody make this horribly erratic offense drive the goddamn field and score the old fashioned way?! I want to beat them so bad it hurts.

Well it looks like Wisconsin will not be able to pull it out. However they've been able to move the ball, for the most part, against this supposedly invincible O$U defense. And OSU's offense has looked pretty poor, with the exception of one good throw by Pryor. As usual OSU will be tough this year but they aren't unbeatable.

that TOP is over-rated in general. At the end of the day it simply doesn't matter if you've had the ball for 35+ minutes if the scoreboard doesn't reflect the benefits. Whether you score 6 in 30 seconds or in 7 minutes is irrelevant, so long as you score.

Yes, but normally the story is slightly different...usually having little TOP but winning means your offense scores with big plays instead of long drives. In this case, Ohio State's offense sucks balls but they win with other phases of the game. It's abnormal to lead TOP by a huge amount, have the opposing offense blow and still lose by three scores. Then again, OSU is an abnormal program.

That was a rather awkward game, I just tried to drive the point home that negative TOP doesn't ALWAYS translate into a negative point differential, it can be a positive thing in some regards. However, "then again, OSU is an abnormal program" supersedes anything that I could've possibly said.

Ohio State fans profess MUST be included when talking about their team. It is OSU, not tOSU! I will not give in! Go Blue, beat the Hawkeyes! "Let's hope Tate has Jedi warming powers...Iowa is too damn cold!"
