Win, lose or draw

I am about to fall off the RR bandwagon. Atrocious play calling from the 1st and goal to the rugby punt. Aren't we a spread team? If the Power I doesn't work on first and second downs go back to what you do best. Is common sense to much to ask?

i agree with the notion its dumb to second guess the power I, or whatever. we should have gotten in, rigardless. maybe he should have taken the 3 pts, but i liked that call too. RR has one foot out the door, though. i think alot of people didnt understand how bad of a loss last week was. its carried over, and a 6th win is not guaranteed.

What is the excuse today RR supporters? This team Sucks and He is doing a TERRIBLE job coaching them. He has to go. The way this team plays sloppy all the time + possible NCAA sanctions make it time for RR to go to some small ACC program or something where his style fits. I was on the bandwagon too long supporting him and I was wrong.

OK...well then why can he not develop a decent safety out of 4 star recruits then? uh huh... no way Kovacs should be playing but that is not his fault.... not at all....

Right because if a guy is a four star recruit than hes guaranteed to be good. Not so much. Rich Rod has been here all of a year and a half. We've had three defensive coordinators in three years. He hasn't had the time to get his guys in here, or develop them. If this was year four or five, like Charlie in South Bend, then I would agree. But not year two

Josh Hull, Graham Zug, Blair White.. and that's just after 3 seconds of thought and 7 drinks. That is not the fucking reason. Every team has a few walkons contributing. They are on the field because they deserve to be on the field. I am getting pretty tired of all the walkon dumping around these parts..

so forget that notion. Tom if the team sucks why not go find someone else to support. It's hard to find a bright spot when you lose a team with only a win against a FBS team, but I'll support the team forever as I'm a grad. This is really hard to stomach though. All I know is that if he doesn't start winning some games in the Big Ten RR is in big trouble.

Regardless of RichRod's coaching choices (not all of which I agree with), to dump him at this point would be nothing short of disastrous for the program. 1) We would lose continuity in recruiting, no question, which is something that we really can't afford to do at this point. Even more damaging would be if we brought in someone who requires pro-style players and caused as much upheaval as was caused by bringing in RR. 2) The upperclassman players we do have are on their 3rd DC and 2nd OC in three years. How can we ever get a system to work if we change it every year? 3) Who in God's name is going to want to come in to coach for a team that fires coaches after only giving them two years to put their system into place? With a fanbase that demands a coach's head after every loss? With serious APR problems and possible sanctions? It's not going to be an appealing job. (Remember Ellerbe and Amaker? Do you want the same to happen in football?) While I don't think we should unconditionally accept any decisions he makes, it seems unfair to not give him time. If after another season or two, we still have this level of problems, then maybe we can reconsider. Supporting the coach in his SECOND YEAR, incidentally, not a bandwagon.

We lay an egg against a horrible big ten team, and we will probably struggle to beat Purdue next week. This is tough to take, and to think I will probably have to watch the Wings lose later tonight!

I too am about to jump off the Rich Rod Bandwagon. I have been a solid supporter of him, but I have had just about enough. The lack of sloppy play, lack of ball security and poor play calling today has caused me to reconsider the direction Michigan football is going.

How do you say "Win Lose or Draw" when we are down 31-13 you fucking idiot? You wouldn't be saying this if we were winning.

It is not that they just lose...it is HOW they lose: Sloppy Bad Football. That is the only consistent hallmark of the Rich Rod error.

You cannot make any more excuses for our football team and Coach Rod. I have never doubted him until today. The gloves are off now. You practice the spread for 90% of your run plays for 2 seasons and then you go to power I for 4 straight plays and blow a game to fucking shreds. Sorry Coach Rod, but you have officially lost me and I give a decent amount of money to the program and have purchased club seats. There is not an apologist under the sun that can cover his ass now. I am even okay with a loss to Illinois as part of the rebuilding process, but the way he loses is a total and utter embarrassment. Yeah a loss is a loss, but this is 2 wks in a row and his 9th like this in 2 years.....let's recall similar losses over the last 25 yrs from other coaches (off the top of my head).....(1984 Iowa 26-0, 1993 MSU 17-7 (7 INTs), 1998 Syracuse 38-28, 2004 Iowa 34-9, 2006 Nooooo!, 2006 Oregon). 6-10 bad losses in 25 yrs vs a regular occurrence under Rodriguez. He has officially ruined the program and will perpetuate it with his lack of focus on recruiting D talent. As we all know, in a shoot-out you win about 50% of the time...this is Rodriguez's strategy...outscore 'em.....so 6-6 is the new metric of mediocrity for Michigan. Apologists jump on board about how young the team is....this has been the reason for my patience. Where I have been lost is the there is simply no improvement as a season progresses. Zero, zip, nada. Let's take a quick vote on who the worst coach is in the B10? Zooker, Rod, Lynch of Brewer.......Coach Rod is right there with the worst of them. Time to start talking to Brian Kelly....
