Morris with the most current experience at QB and, well....Peppers.

0% and no game experience. Just going with the odds.
I wouldn't pick Chris Balas to win anything.

HOOOOLD ON HOOLD ON! Da hurricane's name is Hurricane Ditka
/looks thoughtfully
and about POLISH SAUSAGE
The offenisve line for Team Borton/Balas is better suited to Green (outside zone) and the line for Spath/Brown is better suited for Smith. Hard to pick against a Peppers defense though so I'll go Borton/Balas.
Grizzly Bear
or if in water then a Killer Whale.
Wait, are dinosaurs allowed?

I thought it was going to be Bear vs. Tiger.
Same here. In the Sam Webb/Marcus Ray mock spring draft, Morris was the first QB off the board and Speight last.
I think the biggest winner of all this spring game stuff is us.
when teams (especially MSU) would just pressure us up the middle and destroy offensive play after play. For this reason alone, I would pick Spath & Brown to constantly blitz up the middle against Bars & Froelich.
Three words : Cole, Kalis, Kugler.

If Cole is taking reps at C than how is Kugler considered a starter?
Is it bad that I just scrolled down to see whose team had Peppers and chose them?

"he isn't even the best DB on the team." How do you know this?

If Speight is competent, Spath easily wins. No real weaknesses on the O-Line (versus Balas having Greg Froelich, who I have never heard of) and several playmakers on offense (Cole, Darboh, and Butt). The defenses are a wash, though I would rather have Lewis and Watson over Countess and Stribling.
The big advantage for Balas is Morris, but who will he throw to? He is relying on Smith running behind a number of unproven linemen.

I like that there is enough players on the team to build two decent hypothetical teams.

Borton/Balas defense looks pretty damn tough. It seems most are focused on the O-side. Wormley, Pipkins and Mone give you three 300 pounders on the line with Morgan and Ross as LBs and Peppers, Countess and Stribling on the back end. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
