Who to root against...MSU @ ND
So here comes the 2013 edition. The Chickenheads vs. The Chickens in what must be called the fowlbowl.
Connor Cook had a good week last week as MSU's new quarterback, and if their offense has another strong performance against a team like Notre Dame, they may become a truly formidable opponent this year.
That said, after Notre Dame's miraculous 2012 season to reach the national championship game, I'd enjoy it if they have a 6 win campaign this year. So, I think I'll be rooting for ND to lose.
Thoughts?

Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame,
Wake up the echoes cheering her name,
Send a volley cheer on high,
Shake down the thunder from the sky!

A MSU loss and the starting QB controversary rears its head again, after being "settled" by beating a FCS team last week. Sparty is then 3-1 headed into bye week with 13 days of QB questions and its business as usual in EL. ND loses and ho hum, our only quality win looks like junk. ND should be a bit more desperate because a loss takes them to 2-2, plus as bad as Purdue is they have at least played 2 teams with some heartbeat. MSU is probably going to be a bit shocked the first 10 minutes of this game what it is like playing people their own size, since it has been so long. No matter what the final result I'd just like to see ND put up 30 on MSU so I can stop hearing about the defense that just took over from Wisconsin as the "nation's #1 total defense." I am thinking 24-14 ND.

and the Sparties won't need to score much to win in conference, so I'm not so sure who will be perceived to have stronger sos when bowl invitations are extended.

Because at the end of the season overall records have a affect on your bowl game destination. Also the more ND wins now the better it is for us.

But I would like to see Sparty lose and lose big. Their chests are so pumped out because of their defence that a solid thrashing would bring them down a few notches.

If they lose after that game against Purdue, combined with our shit game against Akron, then we look terrible.

I have respect for ND; I have none for Sparty. This is an easy choice.

of who pisses you off the most during the week. Now that I'm retired and don't hang with too many others during the week, it's more difficult. But when working every day, if I were subjected to more ND fans than MSU, and vice versa, it was easy to decide who to cheer for during the week. This was especially nice because you'd run into the same group of classless asslasses and asses come Monday morn and all was good with the world again.
