First question: do we really need one with hoke being a DL guy?

Second: who is the guy that can recruit to USC amid a terrible coach and sanctions? I understand the weather/women, but he's good...whoever he is.

Third: if its not money, get the guy ole miss used this year...he did a pretty good job. Unless its the Benjamin's that brought those guys in, then stay south.

Fourth: me. I'd love to spread the gospel of Michigan athletics to everyone that would/wouldn't listen. Free trips? Yes! But I'm sure my wife wouldn't agree.

Dhani Jones would be a recruiting maniac, but he's too busy being on TV and selling bowties, which sounds like a little more fun than chillin in northern Ohio with high school kids.

I would not be surprised if the plan is to bring back Erik Campbell.  We don't necessarily need a dedicated DL coach with Hoke and Mattison around.

There's nothing unusual about that, especially when your head coach is a defensive guy.  Under Carr we always had three - one DL coach, one LB coach and one secondary coach.

Also, CFL jobs may not be nearly as lucrative as you think.  Montgomery made $200K last season.  I doubt Campbell's contract with the Als pays him that much.
