Who's That Recruit -- Round 3

Submitted by Seth on
For those who read the first two installments, you already know the drill. For those who didn't, here's how it works: I post the basic recruiting figures for a former recruit who chose Michigan. I'll give the school, position, 40-times, and a coach's description, but no pics, no year. First to correctly name the recruit gets the self-assurance that comes from being recognized as better than other people. I'll try to make these regular. Winner of Round 2 (Tim Massaquoi): bj-ask you (TheWoodenSpoon posted about the same time, but he made a shaky hand gesture when typing his answer, while bj's answer had a distinctly direct "here's what we do" chop) ROUND 3 Offensive Lineman Libertyville High, Libertyville, IL Rivals: 4 Stars, No. 11 guard Scout: 4 Stars, No. 17 offensive lineman Ht: 6-foot-4 Wt: 270 lbs. Forty: 5.3 secs Bench max: 350 pounds Squat max: 400 Vertical: 24 inches GPA: 2.9 ACT: 26 Other suitors: Notre Dame, UCLA, Wisconsin, Iowa Made varsity as a sophomore, but didn't start full-time until his junior year. Was named 2nd team all-state by the Chicago Tribune in 2003. "I've got good upper body strength and overall strength. I like to be more of a technique guy and not just throw my weight around. I still want to improve my quickness and pass protection techniques. I also want to stay lower and work on my footwork." At Michigan's summer camp, described as a 'mauler-type' Plans to have shoulder surgery (definite redshirt!). The shoulder hurt his senior performance and soured some schools on him. Only took two visits: M and Wisconsin. Father played ivy league ball.

I love Morales and he is my favorite player for comical reasons. But all the nicknames I have given him were not of my own creating: -The Mexicutioner -The Angry Enchilada -The Hispanic Titanic Are all nicknames for the a member of the band Reckless Kelly. -Big 10 Burrito was Ninja's idea.
