Who's having an OSU game party?

Submitted by Blazefire on

So who's hosting a party for the OSU game? I've invited a bunch of family and friends for the game, but a lot of my family and friends are kinda ninnies, and won't show. As such, I will likely have quite a few sections of sub sandwich and at least a few cups from the pony kegs to go around. I'm making my party a bit of an open house.

If anyone lives in the Temperance, MI area, and would like to show up and have a section of sandwich and a beer and watch the game on my slightly bigger than normal but not huge TV, hit me up with an email at eric_fischer at mail dot com. I'll help you find my joint.

On the day of the game, any Michigan fan is a true friend.

Also, for the record, I guess Michigan fans truly are the wine and cheese crowd. I don't know how it happend, but among the supplies and snacks I've picked up for the game? Brie en Croute.

These thanksgiving mich vs osu games are going to kill me...my immediate and extended family are from Ohio and my dad graduated from OSU. My immediate family is gathering in Maricopa, AZ  (outside of phoenix) this year and I was hoping I could escape for the game. Anybody in that area want to watch the game????

Just outta curiosity, where do you live in Temperance? Don't wanna sound like a creep, but I live there too and just wonder sometimes if you're my neighbor or something haha

After careful consideration I convinced my father that price of six ticket off of StubHub was more than worth being able to the following:

1. Bail out of town on Black Friday citing a need to drive to Ann Arbor (500+ miles).  Thus sorry Aunt Mary, we can't go on all day family shopping trip.  Maybe next year *attempts to say that with a straight face, fails*

2. Fight with his brother as to who sleeps on the futon and who gets the couch (sorry dad, I love you and you did pay for college, but that's my bed in the other room.  You and Uncle Tom have to split up the furniture or spring for a hotel.).

3.  Drive down to Columbus on Saturday.  Missing Aunt Mary's plan of all going to Philadelphia today.

4.  WOOHOO FUCK YOU BUCKEYES FUCK YOU.*

5.  Return to Ann Arbor

6.  Drive 500 miles home on Sunday.

As a consequence I'll also be driving home on Wednesday, seeing the family and driving back to AA the next day.  All to see the game with my mother, father, uncle and fiancee.  Why?  Because my extended family isn't that great to spend time around.

*My father did post grad work at Ohio U.  I know we think we hate tOSU but be honest we have in terms of hatred compared to Ohio U folks.  I mean they have to share a town with the Bucknuts.

I'm confused.  OU (Ohio U) is like an hour and a half southeast of Columbus.  And after going to both Miami University and now OSU, it's safe to say that the hatred Miami and OU have for one another is on a completely different level than OU and OSU.  I've never heard of OU students having beef with OSU, maybe that's just me.

Regardless, I'm currently a student here and I'm in full support of #4.  Go Blue!

I like to keep some vodka around that is so crude at least two Eastern European airlines use it to fuel their Soviet era aircraft.  This is my last resort beverage.  Shotgun half the bottle and I'll wake up middle of the day on Sunday and not be able to remember anything that happened after Thursday.

Also projectors are really underrated as football viewing devices.  A projector and a white wall means that some Sunday you're just using the spackle to do some patch work as opposed to buying a new TV.

You sir, are a modern day DaVinci. Here I've been dipping all of my remote controls in aoft liquid rubber compound and putting my beer bottles in soft foam holders.

I'll be with the UofM Club of Miami-Ft Lauderdale at the Upper Deck Ale & Sports Bar in Hallandale Beach.  With video camera in case there is a celebration to record.

GO BLUE!
