I like the yellow piping on the sleeves. Keeps it from being too Penn-Statey. But the white pants... I dunno. I'm a fan of the maize ones. I hope thats more of a one time thing honestly.

A great Michigan squad for this team to aspire to.

Franklin, Bell, Lytle, Dufek, Strinko, Brown, Heater, Gallagher, Lantry and Tim Davis.

What a squad. I believe that was the first BIG squad to go to a bowl (Orange) outside of Rose Bowl. Losing to a powerhouse Oklahoma squad led by the Selmon brothers.

1974 Game: #3 Michigan at #4 Ohio State.

We kicked a FG for the win. It looked good and probably was good. But it was called out. We lost 12-10.

After the game, Schembechler said something like "If this Game had been in Ann Arbor that FG would've counted."

The Big Ten screwed us in back-to-back seasons in 73 (vote) and 74 (home bias).

If the officials had made the correct call, Michigan would've gone to the Rose Bowl as the #3 ranked team to face #5 Southern Cal. We would've had a chance to win a share of the national pending the outcome of the Orange Bowl which featured #2 Alabama and #9 Notre Dame. (Alabama lost to Notre Dame for the 2nd straight bowl game.)

I really like them. I am glad they didn't put maize outlines on the numbers. I thought that look absolutely terrible. This is the perfect amount of maize to go with a clean design. It should look good with the entire uniform and the winged helmet.
