No it won't. On Ivan Maisel's podcast they had a guy (forget who, but he was in the know) who strongly hinted that it was going to be athe Lambeau.
I think they prefer to be on campus.
Week 1 they seem to never be in campus and have been to Jerryworkd a lot lately

It's actually been confirmed.

Wisconsin in 2 out of the first 4 weeks?
Except they've already announced the week 1 location...and it's not USC/Bama.
by 100%
If I go out the night before, it'll probably be on my bedroom TV because I won't be out of bed yet.
But if I'm a good boy on the Friday night, it'll probably be on the tv downstairs in my man cave.
USC vs Stanford and Alabama vs Ole Miss. Early conference games for those guys.
OSU at Indiana Sep 2. Week 3 Mich at Purdue; Rutgers at Nebraska.
2018 Week 1 - NW at Purdue; Week 2 - OSU at Rutgers
both have a non-conference game late in the schedule (ND for both teams).
SEC always starts their conference games earlier than the Big Ten, that's how they fit in those late season games against FCS/Sun Belt teams.
If Tennessee lives up to their hype, Alabama's visit to Knoxville will be a lock in my opinion.

Absolutely. I was thinking the same thing. They will be there for that. I promise you.

Agree, and rightly so. Watch that Tennessee-Georgia game, too.
Wherever they are, you can bet Herbstreit will have aPENIS sign behind him...
Was this in happy valley???
BTW, FUCK penn state and all their delusional joepa loving fans!!!
Each week? Come on. It's all based on the then matches.

This is the most offseason offseason thread to ever offseason.
FOOTBALL
My mistake, I should have made a thread about Nike, font, or uniforms.
Week 9 has a lot of good choices.
Almost assured it will be at Florida State for the Clemson game.
It's the ACC championship game, in October.
I doubt they go to Wiscy Michigan unless Wisconsin beats LSU.
Almost zero chance that Wisconsin vs. Michigan is gameday.
If Wisconsin beats BOTH LSU and MSU, then yes. Now, will that happen; probably not.
I would guess Lambeau on Saturday, then an on field set up in Austin on Sunday and Orlando on Monday

Mars
The Democratic Republic of the Congo
A Cleveland Strip Club
Oakland
Skeeps
Bin Laden's Pakistan Compound
The Columbus Trash Dump (commonly known as "the Horseshoe")
Mordor
Treasure Island
Vulcan

I don't think Michigan gets college game day unless it's the game at Ohio State. I don't see Wisconsin or MSU having strong years.

If Michigan State is undefeated in the Big Ten (and we are undefeated, period), I think we could get that game.
I think (and hope lol) that MSU will lose to us, and think they will probably lose to OSU, but those games are late in the season. A loss to Notre Dame won't eliminate them from getting Gameday.
I see MSU going 9-3; the benefit they have is that in the Big Ten every single game they have against a team with a pulse is at home.
First three weeks are near locks (with Week 1 being confirmed @ Lambeau). After that, it really depends on results.
If Penn State wins their first three (beating Pitt and Temple), and particularly if Stanford gets tripped up against USC and Ole Miss loses to Alabama, I think Gameday would come to Michigan in Week 4. PSU would be ranked about 15, Michigan 5 or 6, and it's probably the only opportunity for gameday to go to Michigan (presuming Wisconsin loses to LSU).
There is no way that Penn State will go from unranked to ranked #15 by beating three unranked teams to start the season. Like no way. Also, Michigan will have beaten three horrible teams, nobody of note.
If they win their first three they just might crack the top 25. Still not likely for Gameday though.
OSU and Iowa are the realistic chances for Gameday. Wisconsin if, and only if, Wisconsin beats both MSU and LSU, which would make that a top 10 matchup.
I agree that, right now, it's probably the 3rd or 4th most desireable game on the list above (which leaves off another couple possibilities ... Florida @ Tennessee and Wisconsin @ MSU). But there are good chance that Ole Miss has 2 losses (they play 'Bama the week before and open with FSU in Orlando) and Auburn has one (they open with Clemson at home) and are unranked.
Plus, Gameday would already have been at games featuring LSU, Wisconsin, and Tennessee (assuming they go to the UT/VaTech game). And it's really the only chance to go to a game at Michigan.
It's likely going to be Stanford/UCLA, particularly since a Pac-12 team won't feature in the first three locations, but if that game loses its luster, then there's a decent chance they choose UM-Penn State.
They will go to more SEC games.
Honestly, our best chance might be at Iowa.
The games that day are generally horrible. The only competition would be from the PAC 12. USC is at Washington and Stanford is at Oregon. But I don't think Stanford vs. Oregon will be up to its usual par. And at least one of USC and Washington will underperform.
Night game on an ESPN affliated network between a top 4 ranked Michigan team (assuming we beat MSU) and a top 20 Iowa team. Definite possibility.
I think we would have to be undefeated and Iowa would have to have no more than 1 loss.
Has Gameday gone to many Pac-12 games since Fox took over broadcasting most of the Pac-12?
C'mon Man....The obvious answer is Week 6 - Michigan @ Rutgers. This will be another epic clash as these 2 bitter rivals rumble on the banks of Raritan River.
I don't ever remember them playing before UM/OSU.
In even numbered years, USC ends their regular season against Notre Dame and UCLA gets bumped to the second to last game.
In odd numbered years, USC and UCLA end their seasons against each other.
They always move up every other year.
Because when USC-Notre Dame is in Los Angeles, that's the last game of the season.
So when it's at UCLA it's the second to last week, and then USC goes "home" to play Notre Dame the last week.
When it's at USC, it's the last week as the USC-ND game in South Bend is always in October.
Are USC and Washington supposed to be good this year? Because Gameday going to Iowa City for our game with the Hawkeyes doesn't seem too far fetched. It's hard to make legit guesses for every week because there's usually 3-4 Saturday's every year where Gameday goes to a matchup of schools that are having much better seasons than expected.
As much as I worship Desmond, I don't find myself watching Gameday as much as I used to. Other than the occasional creative sign and that one time Corso said, "fuck it!!!" on the air, it's not as must see for me anymore.
A lot of people think that Washington can make some noise and potentially win the conference. However, the more rational thinking is that they are another year away. Last year they didn't even finish in the top 25. This year they will probably be a top 25 team, but probably won't challenge for the conference until next year.
USC, nobody ever knows. The PAC 12 South is definitely weaker than the North, but also has a lot of parity so anything can happen.
Just to add on. Washington looked good at the end of last year, and Connolly has them favored in every game except at Oregon (where they're just a slight underdog). His rankings have them 10th, but he also warns that they lost close games to all the good teams they played last year and that might continue. He expects top 20 and 9+ wins. But if they survive back to back games against Stanford and at Oregon in late Sept, early Oct, there's a decent chance they're undefeated when USC comes to town. Husky Stadium is also a great setting that I'm sure Gameday hasn't been at in a while.
USC probably has the toughest schedule in the nation ('Bama, ND, and crossover games against the three best teams from the North) so they could be really good and still pick up 3-4 losses.
As said, Washington is expected to be good.
I don't see USC looking impressive this season. The schedule is rough, yeah, but they've just been plain mediocre for a while now. It's not clear to me that this coaching change (what's the guy's name? Exactly) is going to put a fire under them.
And they face a dispiriting loss at the beginning of the season. Remember what that did to our season in 2012.
I would've gone with Tennessee at Georgia, but at least one of those teams will lose another game early that they shouldn't. I'm betting on both UNC and FSU being undefeated and in the top 10 based on the teams on their early schedule. It'll also be an ESPN/ABC game.
I wish Gameday would return for the Wisconsin game, but they will have at a one loss to LSU and possibly another one at MSU. Maybe if it was a night game, but that opens up a huge can of worms.
