When do class rankings come out?

I have no idea when the rankings come out, but with our current class at 14 recruits, I have to believe we are in the top 15 for sure.  What do you guys think?

I think we need MOAR 5* in the interim.  But yeah, we'll be up there on sheer volume alone (though our quality is also good).  I'm guessing rankings won't come out until all of the sites have ranked all of the prospects, though I don't know for sure.

Team will probably be in the top-15 to start, settling in around top-20 unless a couple more 5* join up unexpectedly.  The real grwoth will be next year if the team performs well, as the coaching staff will have demonstrable results/directions to show recruits.

Well, I am basing some of it on the past classes for most programs, along with some early recruiting stuff I've checked on.  My point is that I don't have USC/UF/Texas's classes down pat, but my sense is that they're doing pretty well.

But for the record, I knew FSU had three monster recruits already, and according to rivals all three are in the top 42.  Texas has a couple of top kids, as does USC (but we'll see), Alabama, and Florida.  Notre Dame always seems to recruit well (somewhat inexplicably), and you have to think defending champion Auburn and schools like Clemson will continue to recruit well.  So right there, off the top of my head there are 7-8 schools with classes that have/will likely have classes as good as this one.

I'm not saying this is going to be a bad class or anything, but I think it won't be super-well regarded by the recruiting services because many of these kids accepted (relatively) early on, which might depress the other offers they receive, and I think the perception is that UM is still rebuilding a bit and thus might suffer.  And for the record, I really could care less how classes are rated by recruiting services - as long as a team recruits above a certain level (top-20/30 or so), I think the difference between #14 and #19 is mostly negliglble and doesn't have much bearing on the production of those recruits as a class.

on an earlier thread for reference. Last year Tennessee pulled in 0-5 star recruits, 7-4 star recruits, and 17-3 star recruits and had the 13th class nationally according to scout. Rivals rated the commits differently, giving them 0-5 star recruits, 12-4 star recruits, and12-3 star recruits for, again, the 13th best class nationally. USC had the 5th best class nationally with only 1-5 star and 13-4 stars per Scout, and 1-5 star, 14-4 stars per Rivals. It looks like # of 4 stars matters more than # of 5 stars to get into the top 10 (Clemson had 4-5 star players, the most, yet only made #8 on Rivals due to only having 6-4 stars.) Hokes 2012 class has 7-4 star kids  per Scout, and 5-4 star kids on Rivals but expect that to change soon.

It will probably be a while, rivals doesn't even have the rest of the class ranked.  Not sure what 247 will do but they may release one before then.

Braden - 3*87

Stacey - 3* 85

Ringer - 3* 88

Jenkins-Stone - 4* 93

Funchess - 4* 90

Williams - 3* 86

Bolden - 4* 90

Ross - 4* 95

Ojemudia - 3* 89

Brown - 4* 92

Godin - 4* 92

Richardson - 4* 97(!)

Gant - 3* 84

Standifer - 3* 87

247 credits us with 7 4* and 7 3*

That should definitely be good enough for a top 10 class thus far

are studs, I wouldn't be suprised if one of them got bumped up. We also have great shot at these 4 star prospects: Jordan Diamond, Jaord Wilson, Erik Magnuson, Banner, Chris Woremly, Aarron Burbridge, Stanford, and Washington and other i'm sure i can't remember....   I think we'll have 7-10 national class ranking

come January, though. They will be top 10, but top 5 usually includes 2 or 3-5 star kids and around 14-4 stars. You take our class and look at who our hopefuls are and we're a little ahead of Texas in the end. (Fingers crossed.) Ross and Richardson are borderline 4-5 star kids depending on the website and we're looking at anywhere from 5 to 10 borderline 4-5 star additions at the point of attack and at RB. My board of wild guesses has Diamond, Magnuson, Pipkins, and Wormley already added and if we land one of Brionte Dunn or Greg Garmon or even get past Kieth Marshalls top 5 at RB then were already ahead of Texas with 5 or so spots left.
