What time is the OSU game likely to be?

Submitted by SC Wolverine on

I'm getting ready to buy airline tickets for my trip to the game (with my two sons).  Is the game likely to start at noon?  If so, is it at all likely that I can be at the airport for a late evening flight? Thanks, guys.

It really depends.  Mostly how the teams are shaping up.  If it looks like it'll be a good match up I would guess 3:30.  However, if it looks like it'll be fairly one sided (as it is starting to look now) I think it would likely be a noon game.  Also, as it gets later in the season, they tend to start games earlier.  Honestly, I would probably guess a 12:00 start, but it could very well end up being a 3:30 game.

I wouldn't try to fly out Saturday night, however the OSU Michigan game at Mich Stadium is almost always at noon if I remember correctly. Might be different this year of Michigan keeps winning.

Is what I'd bet my govt deployed salary in Afghanistan on. All M-Ohio games I've been to at the Big House started at noon. Only 3:30 game was down at their place

We know for sure it can't be a night game because of the B1G's policy of no night games in November.  I'd say noon, but why not just enjoy the win at the hotel and fly back the next day instead of being rushed?

THE GAME was at noon for for almost 20 straight years.

In recent years, ABC, for the most part, refuses to show the bigger games at noon.  That's why the #1 vs. #2 game in 06 was at 3:30 (4:30?).  But if OSU keeps playing like they are, I would think chances of a 3:30 start are pretty doubtful.

With lights installed a 3:30 start is much more feasible than it has been in the past, but my guess would be that a noon start is still more likely.  My advice would be to keep plans flexible though -- make arrangements that will work either way.  The one thing you shouldn't have to plan for would be a night game -- B1G rules don't allow for those in November.
