What (non-Michigan) coaching changes do you expect in the offseason?
With the end of the season approaching, what kind of coaching changes do you folks forecast for around the conference and nation?
Will Pelini keep his job? If not, who replaces him?
Will Narduzzi stay in East Lansing or will he get his shot at a head gig elsewhere?
Is Mack Brown back next year at Texas? What about Muschamp at Florida?
Who will be the head coach of Southern Cal?
Any other predictions?

Everyone will stay put with the exception of Narduzzi ..He might get a job at Eastern Mich

Kyle Flood is in over his head and Rutgers is getting worse by the week. He has to go.

should be back in Texas. He has done well after the bad start to the season

I think they give Pelini one more year
It makes me wonder if their starting QB didn't break his leg, how their season woulda gone... I think he gets one more year as well

The Top 10 for college football over their is an interesting group. By their figuring, the coaches in the most danger are:
Rank | Coach Name | School |
1 | Will Muschamp | Florida |
2 | Norm Chow | Hawaii |
3 | Dana Holgorsen | West Virginia |
4 | Ron Turner | Florida Int'l. |
5 | Charlie Weis | Kansas |
6 | Mike London | Virginia |
7 | Kevin Wilson | Indiana |
8 | Todd Monken | Southern Miss |
9 | Charley Molnar | Massachusetts |
10 | Bret Bielema | Arkansas |

is really odd to me, Wilson is showing one of the best Indiana teams I've ever seen. They beat Penn State for the first time ever and are fun to watch. I don't know how bad Weis is either, but who would care about their football team in Kansas?
December 1st, 2013 at 9:45 AM ^
Yeah, this would look nothing like the Top 10 that I would have guessed, which is rather the reason I posted it as the perspective over at that site is very different. Weis is doing a subpar job even by Kansas standards, which is not saying much lately, and I am not even sure Bielema is in realizable danger of being a 1-and-out down in Arkansas, although some Razorback fans would probably be OK with that right now. I am not sure how Wilson ends up here myself, unless this is a metric based largely on record, but he seems to be in the midst of turning Indiana into something other than what it has been.

Didn't realize he was on the hot seat. If Hoke and Brandon decide to replace Borges with an offensive coordinator that also runs a pro-style offense, well, you could do worse than the guy whose offenses won two national championships and almost won a third...
Also, wasn't it just a year ago everyone was calling Holgerson a "genius?" Perhaps--gasp--West Virginia also has "execution issues."
December 1st, 2013 at 11:09 AM ^
Those were the two that caught my eye as well. Not sure Chow would move east again and I'm really not sure Hoke & Holgerson could co-exist but it's fun to dream. Of the two, Chow is the guy I've always liked if you're going to run manball.
December 1st, 2013 at 11:19 AM ^
One thing that is probably helping Holgerson is that win over Ok St. is looking better and better.
December 1st, 2013 at 11:23 AM ^
Norm Chow spent a year at NC State in 2000 and 2 years in the mid-200s as OC of the Titans, otherwise he's never been east of Utah. I think we'd have to drop some serious change in his lap to get him here and even then we'd still have to compete with USC if he's not at Hawaii depending on what happens with their coaching search.
December 1st, 2013 at 11:29 AM ^
Agree it would take some coin to get him to Ann Arbor. He's also going to be 68 in May. Not sure how many more years he plans on coaching.
December 1st, 2013 at 2:27 PM ^
Chow is way too old and going to retire soon.

about being on the hotseat after one year but it's the SEC and Arkansas just went winless in conference play for the first time ever I think. He might not be fired but he better show some improvement in year two or I doubt he makes to year 3.
December 1st, 2013 at 11:28 AM ^
Tim Beckman is #20 on that list. I think he deserves a Top 10 honor.
December 1st, 2013 at 12:00 PM ^
Illinois' AD hired Beckman, however, and probably will stick with him a little longer than an inherited guy. Plus, Beckman pulled Wes Lunt back from OSU, so they'll want to see what he does with him. Unless there's a relative big-timer ready to come to IL (HA!), I think he gets another year or two.

Coaching tenure at non-BCS schools averages about 20% more than BCS schools. Monken & Turner ain't getting fired after a single season. Molnar and Chow are on thinner ice. Firing Wilson ain't happening.

Any chance Mike Hart would replace Jackson as RB coach? Would we want that?

...but people said the same thing about Jim Harbaugh at one time, as well.

As a position coach, he probably has enough experience. EMU's RBs seemed to be respectable.

Tyrone Wheatley!
December 1st, 2013 at 12:16 PM ^
Seems like Tyrone has his sights set on something higher than running back coach.
December 1st, 2013 at 9:39 AM ^
I don't see the Indiana coach being on the hot seat. He has greatly improved their offense.
December 1st, 2013 at 9:46 AM ^
Agree. Can't understand how anyone would have Wilson on the hot seat. They have not only gotten better each year under his reign, but it's not like he's underachieving. Lynch made one bowl in 2007 at IU and didn't for the next 3 seasons. Plus, we need to add in that they were forced to play Missouri, which few probably expected to be as good as they were this season and outside of a bad loss to Navy, would have made a bowl.

Frost (Oregon) seriously is given the Nebraska job.
Muschamp returns.
Narduzzi is offered the Rutgers job.
Mack brown returns.

"Have you seen that pile of crap out there?"
-Charlie Weis
I know the bar is low but they are really bad. Only wins are South Dakota St., La. Tech, and West Virginia with some bad losses such as being shut out by Iowa St. I think Kansasis a place that will at best be a 6-6 team with a 7 win season here and there.

But I wonder if the folks in Nebraska are a little gunshy with the "DC who's not really fun to talk to."
I do think Narduzzi gets that level of job, though.

All the AD said was that they were looking forward to the bowl game, and having Pelini lead them "into the future." That could be a week, or they could be waiting to see how the bowl game goes. That was a pretty weak "show of support" if you ask me.
December 1st, 2013 at 9:57 AM ^
Narduzzi to Rutgers?!

December 1st, 2013 at 12:47 PM ^
I wouldn't want him there. New Jersey produces a lot of talent and he'd probably make good use of it, at least on defense. I'd prefer him to look at UConn.
December 1st, 2013 at 10:04 AM ^
Mike London at Virginia is probably done.
Dan Mullen at Miss St. maybe as well.
I don't think Weiss or Bielema will be in trouble yet.
Kevin Wilson is definitely not in trouble at Indiana.
