but we all know what benching harris in that OT did to our basketball season; it lit a fire under the ass of harris and much of the rest of the team to make a ncaa tourney push... lets hope the saeme happens here

I doubt Tate was injured. You could tell he was incredibly disappointed to not be out on the field. I am going to get negbanged into oblivion for saying this but I am kinda drunk and don't care - I think that loss was down to Rodriguez's ego getting the better of him. You have a freshman QB who has led 3 game winning/tying 4th quarter drives in succession. You have 1.30 to play and no timeouts and KNOW you need to pass the ball to get in FG range. Ideally, you encourage said never-nervous QB and get him back on the field. There is a reason Denard has 3(4?) INTs and no TDs on limited pass attempts. He is a great athlete but isn't, as yet, a great passer. Unless Tate was injured and couldn't get back out there, this decision was inexplicable. /RANT_OVER_COMMENCE_NEGBANG

Well, fact remains that despite the 5 TOs, we were still in position to win the game at the end. I don't know, I am probably overreacting, but I still think we had a better chance with Forcier in the game at the end. Tell me you didn't have a nasty sense of foreboding when DR ran out for that final series.
