What are you drinking on this Friday?

Submitted by winterblue75 on

Just wondering what everyone is drinking on this Friday evening.

I'm making it a Shorts Beer night....Nicie Spicie, Strawberry Shortscake, and Noble Chaos (their Oktoberfest).

Four loko. Not bad, but a little fruity. I have Labatts.

Also, alcohol made me think...I wish we had a chat on the bottom of the screen on MGo so I could send instant messages to people who are online. Make it happen someone!

It's welcome weekend up here at CMU, so in between the scene I'm gettin on here to talk to you guys haha

I'm drinking Busch Light from a keg we bought for our house party. It gets the job done, as I'm already a little drunk. Need it since this week has been rough as we all know....

I had been trying not to think about the fun I am missing, but while reading that post my emotions quickly went from excitement as memories flashed in my mind, to agony as I feel like I'm missing out BIG TIME!

+1 for both of you just for being Chippewas

for being a fellow Chippewa/Wolverine. That combo is indeed a rare breed as most people only pick one team. I can't live without either of my teams on Saturday. Of course I like Michigan more (longer allegiance) but I do love my CMU Chips!

Without taking a breath I'd choose the Wolverines over the Chips. However, I AM looking forward to seeing how CMU does this year though; they lost a lot, but it's hard not to think they'll still be a decent to good team with how solid the program is now. (Interesting tidbit--My friend played football at CMU from 2005-2008 and he told me Radcliff looked like a better QB during his redshirt year than Dan did in year 1).

I need to make it up for one game, and it'll probably end up being Central-Western.

+1 for all Wolverine-Chippewa fans, students, alums :) Happy Welcome Weekend!

The first and last name in beer.

Although a hearty plus 1 to the man a few posts up with the Molson Canadian. An excellent brew in its own right.

Local brewpub that opened recently. Haven't actually made it in there yet, they were closed the one time I made it a point to go out there (Easter weekend unfortunately).

I forgot to stop and buy beer after work and am now at home with my girlfriends kids while she is at a work function. I could go pick some up but I would feel weird wandering into a liquorstore at 9:00 with 2 little kids. My world for a Dead Guy Ale.

But only because I have two flight simulators tomorrow and the Navy's rule is "12 hours bottle to brief."  My brief starts at 0650.  I am jealous of everyone else who is enjoying their beverage of choice and am proud to be training to defend your freedom to do so.

Ahhh, you guys are torture.  I just started my late shift until 2am.

Luckily, I'm in AA, which means before the shift I hit up Charley's and Ashelys.  A pitcher of Bud Light (yes!  Charley's has Bud Light now!) then an Oberon and a Jolly Pumpkin Weizen Bum, the latter of which was really good, if a little sweet.

...in the heart of Leelanau...20 yards from the best beach on the planet...listening to the rain and occasional thunder...quite a lightning show tonight...my daughter reading Laura Ingalls Wilder's - Farmer Boy....next to her onerous haul of petoskey madness (we are going to be tipping the 60 lb limit in every bag on the return flight)...a 100 year old deer head staring my beer down...my wife in the kitchen muttering about how gross this old cottage is...just another summer night...Michigan is truly the best...can I get a Hail Yes!...Go Blue brothers and sisters!

As it was a sailing night (and a ridiculously perfect night for it too) my beer choices were made by someone else.  Fortunately I sail with people who have good taste: started with a Dos Equis, next a Sam Adams Cherry Wheat (with real Michigan cherries!) and finally a Leinenkugel's.  I'm starting to believe that the good folks behind Leinenkugel's beer have God's own recipes.

since reading airvipermb's assessment of the defense in the diaries up above.

No--seriously--I had a Yeungling with dinner, only beer they had at the Colombian SuperPerros hotdog stand here in Tallahassee. Actually went down okay with the chicken- and bacon- and pineapple- and potato chip and pink sauce-smothered El Jefe double hotdog that I had.
