What's The Problem with the OL

Submitted by GoBluePhil on
I've many posts on this blog and some other blogs about the OL being bad. Some say youth, some say coaching, some say the players aren't physical enough. I was just wondering what some board members who have had some coaching experience believe the real problem is. Is it the scheme? Or is it truly youth?

You see, half the offensive line prefers to eat at Mr. Spots after the games, while the other half prefers Pizza house. This leads to lots of ingame fights where Glasgow and Kalis yell at each other about how one could prefer overpriced greasy pan pizza / mildly hot wings while Max Boullough idly slips by on a blitz. "Excuse me fellas, just gonna get your QB."

GGGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

This is driving me nuts. I am pretty sure that if there were coaches who wanted to voice their opinion about the O-Line they would have said it in one of the 1,235 threads on it OR they would have made their own thread or diary so it would stand out.

In conclusion your thread is bad and you should feel bad. -1 to you sir.

No matter how highly ranked they are coming in, I don't think it is fair to expect  three young first year underclassman interior line starters to be overlyphysical. I mean they are routinly going up against guys who've spent years in the weightroom.

is Al Borges switched to IntelliLink, but the basic package is very buggy, so he can't send out playcalls to Gardner's PDA without activating "Rotate OLinemen 90 degrees." Borges needs to upgrade to the silver package before we can expect progress.

This thread topic has not been written 400 times. Zebras have spots. Soul Plane is the greatest movie of all time.

Don't mind me, just throwing out things that aren't true.

Can we at least wait to ask what the problem is until after the game?  If they play well today I want to enjoy it for at least a few days even if Nebraska's run defense sucks.

Have a fucking clue about what they are doing?  Is that coaching?  Are they supposed to know what to do because their momma's told them?  Fuck no!  Who is coaching these kids?

Whoever it is is way over their heads.

There are no play action plays off of the runs we actually do, once on film, we are easy to stop. Also, our inability to throw to the tight end out of I-form normal is very costly
