Local beer for me at the moment...Crooked Stave IPA. Not bad but not incredible either.
Bell's new Official Hazy IPA and ole reliable Amber Ale...both very tasty.
Michigan +4 opening line on Bovada...pounded it.
I've seen---but have yet to try--- Bells Official. What is it comparable to? Is it similar to M-43?
Not as bitter as M-43. Slightly sweeter and lighter than Two Hearted.
Highly recommended if you like wheats and IPA's

Started with a North Peak Sparta at Jolly Pumpkin with dinner (never occurred to me about the name - - - it just tasted good) and now am having Voodoo Ranger Juicey Haze as the Gophers just scored in overtime. Dang OT has not been kind to the Wolverines.

At my friend’s house and he just cracked open a 25 year old bottle of Absinthe that he snuck home while he was in the military. I’m having some reservations, but I think I at least have to try it.
if it is legit then it is a really interesting buzz. years ago i was at an absinthe bar in amsterdam with a bunch of friends and tried it out. good times.

I'm pulling a Ben Franklin and giving up one additional thing per month. This month is pop, and last month was fast food. Perrier is fizzy but isn't terrible for me, so that's good.
can you publish the syllabus of things to be forgone in your '19 calendar? could be inspirational.
Each month I'm picking something that stands out as a weakness at that time, so it's not planned out all the way through the calendar. I think for next month, it will be either bread or sweets.

i have a coffee/caffeine addiction. it is severe. i have gone cold turkey in the past and literally went a year without caffeine but i really love the taste of espresso. while i know i'm addicted to it and will get a horrible headache if i don't get caffeine in my system by about 1 pm at the latest i don't think i'm willing to go through the withdrawals to get off of caffeine. already on shot 6 of espresso this morning. with each shot having roughly 75 mg of caffeine it is still less caffeine than a venti at starbucks which is 540 mg if i remember correctly.
i've become a fan of safeway's signature select grapefruit seltzer water. it is cheaper than bottled flat water. sort of a la croix knock off.

Visiting family in Portland, OR and drinking a local Pinot Noir; Rascal 2017 (I applaud they support their local humane society).
I prefer something a bit more complex but it's alright, and again, local.
