"CLARKSBURG - A nephew of Gov. Joe Manchin testified in federal court Tuesday that he hired two female escorts, one of whom performed oral sex on him.

"I remember one lady dancing, and another lady lap dancing, and I believe that's when the oral sex took place," John Manchin III said on the witness stand. The encounter happened at his home, he said.

John Manchin testified during the trial of Donna D. Duelley, who is accused of running a Morgantown prostitution ring.

Duelley, 42, is charged with illegally accepting credit and debit cards as payments for sexual acts by her and other women who worked for her. She also faces perjury charges for denying in front of a grand jury in January that she had sex in exchange for money.

Manchin, 33, also said he recognized his signature on a credit card receipt for $330 payable to Fascinations, the name of Duelley's escort service. The receipt apparently had no date.

A page from Duelley's datebook listed "John Manchin" on Wednesday, Oct. 3. The entry including the notation $330, as well as the initials BE and AL.

Tamela Wiles, who said she worked for Duelley under the name "Belinda," said she remembered providing "sexual services" to Manchin together with Duelley. She said "BE" was short for Belinda.

According to the 15-count indictment, Duelley used the name "Alexis" when she provided sexual services to clients. The indictment maintains that Duelley and a prostitute using the name "Belinda" provided "sexual services" to a customer on Oct. 3, 2001.

The defense maintains that Duelley ran a legal adult entertainment business. If any of her independent contractors had sex for money, it was against company policy, her lawyers argue.

On Tuesday, several women testified that they had worked for Duelley as escorts with Fascinations. They all said that they engaged in oral sex or intercourse for money, sometimes as much as $175 per encounter."
