Welcome to the NFL Chad Henne

Submitted by Geaux_Blue on

Big time game for Henne. Great to watch a Michigan NFL game. Braylon great, Henne a little better

Stat line:
20/25, 241 yards, 9.6 average, 2 tds and one HUGE third down

Hell of an arm. Dolphins better keep him around!

That whole UM to UOS love made me a little sick though... great pass and great showing by former Wolverines tonight. Can't forget about Long and Harris in this game either (even if Harris and the Jet's D got torched).

Reminds me of the Chiefs v. Raiders matchup in 1998 when Charles Woodson was a rookie with the Raiders. Grbac was the QB for the Chiefs and he and former Sparty Andre Rison hooked up for a couple of scores just torching Woodson.

It was all so wrong....

one of the best MNF games in recent memory. I am a College football homer, so I root for teams with UM alumni. It was great to see. Henne and Edwards getting all that attention. Dave Harris leading his team in tackles. Long and the rest of the OL not allowing a sack. Feely keeping his FG streak alive. Wow.

As someone who was born and raised in Miami and is now at Michigan for grad school, I have to say that my football rooting interest synergy was off the charts during that game. The Dolphins haven't had a "great" QB since Marino, and I'm hoping that Henne can be the guy (I know, I know, only one game, but here's hoping it continues).

Linebacker Calvin Pace was less impressed. “Against a second-year clown quarterback, we didn’t affect him enough,” Pace said. “I guess you have to give him credit. The defense lost the game today.”

“I can’t respect that stuff, all that Wildcat,” Pace said. “We’re in the N.F.L. Don’t come here with that nonsense.”

to me, it was those throws to Camarillo on huge 3rd downs that showed the good Henne. I love that he never looks rattled. such a composed guy. Good for him. the fact that the dolphins mix things up so much really should aid him in digesting what it means to be an NFL QB. they clearly don't intend to put the weight of the game on his shoulders yet, which is good.

he has a chance to do great things down there. I mean, think about if they could get a big-time go-to receiver like Boldin at some point to compliment the vertical threat of Tedd Ginn. Goodness.

Braylon looked excellent as well, although he's gotta make that catch that he was bailed out by PI on. he should fit in quite well with that team.

how they took Braylon's second called TD away from him. I know his shin/knee went down but he hadn't been contacted yet. Maybe they had a view that they didn't show on TV.
Nice to know he's still got and just needed a QB who could throw the ball which is missing in Cleveland.

don't give the full credit to his performance. He basically got the Jets three td's with those two catches and drawing the PI. Great to watch our boys doing so well in the NFL.
