I have a feeling Smith grades out better from the coaches than the fans, Harbaugh certainly seemed to shift blame away when questioned about Smith. I think we all see him not following his lead blocker and assume it's on him, but only the coaches know where it's supposed to go. From Harbaugh's answers it seems like the FB was not hitting right holes a lot either.

Sure. It happens. There was way too much focus on this when bashing Hoke.

The other thing I found interesting was JH clapping in encouragement as the team made there way off the field after Int 1 of the season, It amused me only because I recall an MGBer explicitly state that he (?) couldn't wait to have a coach who didn't clap when we screwed up!

So maybe we can move on from Hoke bashing!?

Weighing in as a new voice (of reason, though you don't now that yet!) and would suggest that game 1 told us nothing new about the team.

Watching Penn State and Northwestern this weekend reminded me how unpredictable Game 1 can be. (Chose to highlight these games over The Horror)

I, like most, believe JH will do great things for UM. And it might begin this year with 9-10 wins. We'll know more after BYU. (Yes, I know OSU is next)

Have been waiting all summer for the season to start. Now I'm just praying for cooler temperatures Saturday.

JH said that Chesson slowed down during long pass and that two of the INT's were due to receiver running wrong route....we knew the first INT was because of route running, but now also the pick 6.

YES!  This is what I said here all along.  Chesson slowed up on that ball and then when he spotted it, he sped up but it was too late.

JH and I see the same thing!  I feel exonerated.

I also said the same thing about Perry running 2 TWO wrong routes!!!

The average "fan" wanted to fry Rudock for that game...but the average fan was wrong!  He did not play that badly.

Is there some MGoBlogger with good, advanced Photoshop skills who's working on the meme that will be changing the text on top of this label to WINNING on the top line and MICHIGAN on the second line, and then inserting  Kills the Bad Taste in Your Mouth That Comes from Losing Football Games in the text box?

Anyone else notice all these live events on the official site have very low volume? I have to crank up my speakers to hear anything. It wasn't that bad for the coach but I can barely hear the players.
