Week 2 bowl projections
ESPN (autoplay site so don't go there)-
One has Michigan vs Arkansas in the Music City Bowl. That's if BERT can recover from that hard fought game against the elite Toledo Rockets.
One has Michigan vs Cal in the Foster Farms Bowl. That's Harbaugh's old rival at Stanford in a bowl game played at the stadium of the 49ers.
SB Nation-
Michigan vs Georgia in the Citrus Bowl. Mark Richt shits his pants at the thought of playing Michigan as the cold July weather of the North might follow us down South.
CBS-
Michigan vs LSU in the Outback Bowl

I'd really like to see us play LSU. Two Bo guys going at it! We'll have grass eating! We'll have handshakes!! We'll have plenty of Bo quotes and michigan lore to hand out to everyone! It will be great! So yeah I'd dig that matchup, go blue!

Well said!

Could you imagine the state of our fanbase is if we did go to the bowl of roses? What we'd have to accomplish to get there. Just the thought of it puts a smile on my face. Maybe we could face USC this time and give them some payback for 2006-07 Rosebowl.

When I look at JuJu Smith and Adoree Jackson, I just wonder "what if".
September 15th, 2015 at 1:09 PM ^
I'll pass on the salmonella bowl. Playing Georgia sounds fun.
No to playing LSU until Les retires.
September 15th, 2015 at 1:46 PM ^
For one half, LSU was doing to Mississippi State what Michigan did to Oregon State. I would not want Michigan to play them right now. By the end of the season, though, it might be a good matchup.
I think both teams are going to surprise a lot of people this year.

I'd like to see Richt shit his pants.
September 15th, 2015 at 1:25 PM ^
you like to watch people shit their pants????
September 15th, 2015 at 2:13 PM ^
It's mildly entertaining watching my two-year-old shit her pants, it's a pretty big production. I can only imagine seeing Mark Richt do it. Yes, I'd watch that.

How many wins do we have to have before these weekly "bowl projections" start including that possibility for us?
And do we start hearing talk of a Big 10 Championship when we beat MSU?
September 15th, 2015 at 1:14 PM ^
I'll set the over/under at 5.5.

Anything is possible! I would like a repeat of the '69 season. Though unlike '69 we have sparty at home, so I hope we curb stomp them!

I mean I like fruit and I like bloomin onions so its kind of a toss up for me.

Week 2? Make it stop!
BTW, Michigan tubed it against Toledo a few years ago... we probably shouldn't gloat.
September 15th, 2015 at 1:20 PM ^
this year is much better than the 3 win team that beat Michigan in 2008.
September 15th, 2015 at 1:22 PM ^
Michigan didn't even play football from 2007 - 2014. We'd been at it a while and the AD just thought it might be time to take a break. Rest up a bit. Let MSU get good and OSU win a NC before the Harbaugh era.

Can we all agree that the last 7 years of michigan football did not happen? It was all a bad dream and Harbaugh is taking over for Lloyd.
September 15th, 2015 at 1:27 PM ^
I'm with you. Did anyone else watching the game on Saturday notice the chart they threw up there showing the absence of UM QB/skill positions drafted in the past 7 years? I knew that info but for some reason it really hit home for some reason and so glad we have a coach now who will develop NFL talent which will snowball into better recruits and more NFL talent and prostyle manball winning seasons for many years.

While the last 7 years has been VERY tough on us, he was one of the few saving graces during that span, and I for one was glad he was here....

Super fan Lloyd Brady is on the left!
September 15th, 2015 at 1:36 PM ^
I think I actuallu did forget. I am always surprised when I hear someone else mention our W-L record over each of the past 7 years. Especially RR's first year. Three wins! How did we survive that?!?! Last year was horrible, it amazes me how I blocked it all.
September 15th, 2015 at 2:26 PM ^
If you want to really feel ill, consider that after our Oregon State win we are just 7-13 in our last 20.
Sorry that I didn't ackowledge Denard as a supernova during the past 7 years. I love him and didn't mean to diminish his amazing contributions.
September 15th, 2015 at 3:14 PM ^
I feel sick.

That was not only one, but two head coaches ago. That is rather far in the rearview mirror. I see no reason we shouldn't gloat, especially when one considers Bielema's remarks about SEC schedules being tougher than Big Ten schedules.
SEC schedules are so tough because they all play FCS opponents for their non-conference schedule and then are all ranked when they play each other, so we perceive the conference to be strong. And, while it was dominant for a number of years, it could be on the wane (I say could, I'm not a seer, of course).
