We still got Sheridan :)

If Threet does end up transferring. We still got the man, the myth, the legend: Nick Sheridan.

At that rate, I'm sure I still have a year of eligibility. I know some people will bury me for this, but losing Threet this year will be a far bigger hit than losing Mallet last year.

Who knows what next year would have brought him with another year in the system. If he just could have kept that ball from sailing on him in games we would be singing an entirely different tune about his abilities. Hell, he could have at the very least told Forcier and DRob what to look for.

And if Rick Ankiel could have kept the ball from "sailing on him" when he pitched, he would still be a pitcher in MLB. And if Sheridan was four inches taller, a half-second faster in the forty, and had a decent arm, he would be a decent QB. But here is the biggest "if" of all: If Threet had SIMPLY HIT HIS OPEN RECIEVERS LAST YEAR, UM would have gone to a bowl game and he would have locked up the starting job for this year. Threet had his chance and failed. I hope he transfers home to Adrian College and plays in the MIAA. Since he was already MIA last year, it won't be much of a transition for him. It's not Threet's fault, but he simply doesn't have the talent to play QB at a major college. I hope he has a great life. But if he played more than two games this year, UM would have been in trouble.

Hmmm...I already dismissed your post at the mere mention of Rick Ankiel. Why would give a damn about him? (notices that Tater is still talking and enjoying the sound of his own voice so starts to head out of the room nodding my head and throwing in an occassional yeah...you don't say and you sure are right about that on the way out of the door.) 10 minutes later... Comes back to hear Tater still talking and decides to hit unmute) You don't say...You sure are right...(walks back out of the door)

So it's un-possible for Threet to, you know, become more accurate as he gets more experienced? The fact he was missing wide open receivers, as opposed to chucking throws into triple coverage, is completely and totally irrelevant? There's no chance that as he gets more experienced he would be able to throw more accurately? Accuracy is a completely ingrained, unchanging, static skill that never improves? If Threet should go to Adrian, then you should go to MLive.

Look, all of this needs to stop. At this moment we still DO have Steven Threet. If he actually transfers, then we can discuss it. Up until then, we need to stop and let him live his life. If he feels hits best for him to leave than so be it. But I would be willing to bet that every single one of us would want him to stay. If you don't then you are a dumbfuck. But seriously, I thought we went through this with the other rumors (Cox, McGuffie), STOP TALKING SHIT ABOUT THESE GUYS. This was not meant to be an attack against you RRera, just a general statement.

O ya dude. You are right. I WAS talking like a tough guy. So tough. All I said was don't talk about a kid like he is gone until he is actually gone. And if you think that these kids or thier friends don't read this blog than you are tragically misinformed. So saying "O we don't need him anyways. Forcier was going to start anyways." is not helpful. Don't try to rationalize why his loss means nothing when it really does. If he does leave it is going to be devestating. And you are a dick Jlow.

There is one thing I know for sure. If Sheridan starts for us in the first game, I am not going to waste my time (and aging 15 years in the process) thinking that Michigan can have a solid season.

Sheridan will never see the field again. The only way is if both Forcier and DRob get hurt and Nader can't beat him out. Seems like a pretty remote possibility. And lets face it, any team that has to rely on their 3rd string QB to get by has about a 97% chance of sucking ass. It's not good to lose Threet (if true), but it doesn't mean we are back to DEATH.
