Fully expected this to be WD. He's the king of non-revenue sports posts. Way to beat him to it...also, this is awesome. Always great to get a top 50 prospect.

5 Star!  Great pick up.  Looks like Coach has the WBB program moving in the right direction. Hopefully NCAA appearances become a regular thing for the WBB program.

Stupid question - Why does ESPN call it "girls" basketball in the URL link and not "womens" basketball? I can't imagine them calling it "boys" basketball. Ok, I'll remove my semantic police hat now...

I would love for the women's team to be competitive and ranked nationally on occasion. I don't watch religiously, especially the WNBA... But back when there was just 1 team capable of winning it all (Tennessee, ND, Baylor, UNC, etc.) I used to really enjoy watching the women's tourney. We be fun to have a dog in the hunt for once.

Also signing with Michigan yesterday was 5-9 guard Deja Church, out of Southfield High A&T, one of the top in-state players in the 2017 class. Some recruiting services (not espn) have her in their top 100 (Blue Star has her at #70). She was originally committed to Minnesota but then switched to the Wolverines a couple of weeks ago; her reason for the switch is covered in this article. She's the second in-state player Kim Barnes Arico has landed, following Kysre Gondrezick.

One note on Hailey Brown: This isn't to take anything away from the importance of her signing with Michigan, but espn always assigns five stars to way too many WBB players. They have their top 52 players all as five stars. This is a running joke in WBB circles. In MBB, espn has just their top 25 as five stars. So in a reasonable ranking system, Hailey Brown would be a high four star.
