Way OT: Looking for an AngularJS Developer
Hello MGoCommunity...This one is way off topic, but this blog's value extends way beyond talking about Michigan sports. Mods, feel free to delete if this post breaks any rules.
Are there any AngularJS experienced developers in the community? If so, and you're looking for a cool startup project to get involved with, please do email us at networkingoutllc at gmail dot com. Would love to share more information about our project, stage and team.

I think we need to stay away from the joint safeties.

Try the LinkedIn group, as mentioned before. Are you guys looking for full-time or part-timers? If the latter, you might have some luck emailing the business/outreach offices of the CS and CE departments at UM. They'll usually forward along your requests to the general email lists for their departments if it seems appropriate, and then you'll have access to a decent number of people with Angular (and other web frameworks).

Definitely. We had 2 interns from the CS/CE department recently. Wanted to broaden the search a little, but will definitely post our position description there, too. Appreciate the response.

On a scale of Derek Dooley to Jim Harbaugh, I'd give it a Brady Hoke.

... yeah this is interesting but I think the FAQs require a $50 donation to "Beveled Guilt" for this sort of thing. Equity is also nice, but it's on top of that.

Since this is a Way OT computer related thread and my question doesn't merit making it's own Way OT computer related thread, I'll just ask it here:
I am considering a career change (actually don't have a career right now, alas) into computer programming and have only recently learned about coding bootcamps. Are there any MGoUsers who have attended a coding bootcamp (or know anyone who has) and could offer any insights into their experiences? Are there any people who are involved in hiring programmers who could comment on their opinion regarding the desirability of coding bootcamp graduates as potential employees versus more traditionally schooled applicants?

Are you interested in web programming?
If so, there are two resources are the best in the game for web programming, IMO. Team Treehouse (http://teamtreehouse.com/) and Code School (https://www.codeschool.com/) are the most up to date with what the web programming world is using today. Those are very reputable places to learn from.

I am an IT Recruiter in Toronto. We have a pretty broad footprint doing everything from entry-level help desk folks to CIO's, and everything in-between. We have placed Nik Stauskas' dad several times, for example.
I have a good AngularJS developer just finishing a contract and available March 01. If you would consider a remote resource, he'd be a great option for you. And the exchange rate these days makes him a bargain!
Also, I need a .NET Development Manager (team of 5) for a permanent fultime hire in Windsor if anyone is looking.
