I'm pretty sure I've seen billboards when driving in/out of Vegas for some sort of super gun emporium where you can supposedly fire automatic weapons and possibly tank rounds. Always sounded like fun but with my drinking and gambling, adding high-powered firearms into the mix is a recipe for tragedy or cheesy 80's comedy gold.
EDIT: Thanks Google

but I can't remember the name due to all of the fricken booze, I was drinking. I was so drunk, I think I killed somebody but they didn't care because it was Vegas.
Seriously, you could probably go to any range and have a good time.
Good times.
1) You only need about an hour tops.....if you can get the cabbie to wait or come back, that would be best. It's several miles from the strip, so you might have to wait for a cab otherwise.
2) I would go in the morning before any drinking starts......they guys working there don't f@ck around with people being jack-asses.
3) AK-47 sucks, don't waste your money.....they tend to jam more.
4) Go with the Heckler and Koch MP5.....semi-automatic, easy to use.......when Armageddon hits, this will be my weapon of choice.
5) Lots of pistols to choose from
6) You can easily drop a couple hundred apiece, you're buying by the clip
Definitely worth the trip and the $$$$$.
The AK-47 sucks and jams? That must be why it is the most popular assault rifle around the world.
But the one I used there wasn't fun to shoot, just my experience.
If I'm going to spend the money, I would go with the MP5 again.....fun to shoot.
Most of its part are stamped, tolerances are ridiculously loose. I've shot thousands of rounds through AK's. No, they didn't jam, but past 50 yards they are woefully inaccurate.
The FN FAL (Belgian) in 7.62 (.308) is the best combat rifle made.
Well at least thanks for proving my point that they don't jam, unlike the guy who replied before.
Isn't the FAL single shot? Much more accurate than the AK, and thus good for longer distances, but up close I'd go with the automatic AK for sure.
That being said, give me the ACR over the AK.
but most manufactured worldwide were select-fire. The first I shot was a folding-stock model. Even that was more accurate than any AK.
For pure shits and giggles, coleman's dead nuts right about the MP5.
If you're feeling froggy try a hand-cannon at the range - like a Casull .454. If the groom to be shoots one-handed, he may never masturbate with that hand again.
Its the most popular assault rifle in the world because it is the most available assault rifle in the world.
And it's the most available assault rifle for a reason.
1) Not complicated to make.
2) Doesn't jam.
3) Extremely powerful for the price.
Yes, as the other posters have made known, it's not accurate at long distances and it's not essentially "fun to shoot". But if the world is coming to an end, I'll take an AK any day.
Yeah, that's pretty much the kind of advice I was looking for. What guns are sweet, which ones I should stay away from and when to go.
I've read about the strict no drinking tolerance too. Makes sense.
Most of my shooting has taken place at the Bunny Ranch
I was waiting for someone to take it down that road. +1 to you sir.
Gun store is the spot for what u want. You can also go to american shooters on Spring mt. Its closer to the Strip. Its nicer and has MP5 and MP7. Shooting the AK is fun they work well. You get a perspective of what our military is up against. Shooting full auto with 7.62 is fun. You get a little kick and have to control it. The MP5 and 7 are smooth. My choice at the gun store is the Tommy gun.
AK-47: most used gun in the world because its cheap and durable and yes inaccurate,(7.62X39) so easy a caveman can do it.
MP5: Great for short range/room clearing, stable (9mm NATO)
M16: accurate intermediate range (5.56x45 NATO), personally I hate this "poodle shooter"
M14: My end of the world choice (7.62x51/.308 NATO) durable long range accuracy I can go on and on.
Well if its the end of the world/commie/zombie uprising you need to have american and enemy rounds to live so somthing that shoots (7.62x39) (5.56x39) (7.62X51), if you use hand guns good luck and God bless, if you need me I'll be anti 2ed amendment people houses, taking there food. :D
