Watching the game in Utah?

Submitted by BigBlue02 on
So I just moved to Utah and was wondering where I can watch the Michigan game tomorrow. I am only about 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City and have no clue if there are any alumni hangouts in the area. Granted, I am not even sure if a bar would open before 10 am, but I would love to not have to sit at home to watch it. Help from the MgoCommunity would be much appreciated.

I used to live in SLC, the alumni club has moved around the place where they watch the game but last I heard they are at Green Street at Trolley Square (600 E 500 S). Even if they aren't there, its a solid sports bar and will have the game on.

I lived there for several years, but moved back to A2 in 2009. There's a great group of alums in SLC, and they get together every week for football watching. They go to the Green Street Social Club, in the Trolley Square area. It's where many of the other Big Ten groups are too. Here's a link to their website:

Oh, and the bars generally opened for us for the early games...

When I was in SLC from 04 - 06 the "spirit group" watched the games at the Fiddler's Elbow in Sugarhouse.  Overall it was very fun.

I lived in Utah until the start of last season.  Both Green Street and Fiddler's Elbow are good places to go and they both generally have a nice turnout of M fans.  I personally prefer Fiddler's because I think their beer and food selection is better.
