A week ago, Michigan had just 3 players reach triple-doubles in 100 years of Basketball.

Two this week.

Video will come just like I did one for Caris yesterday.

Can we get a double double this season against a team that matters? I could care less if they even got that. Just win the game. Especially the ones that matter.

It's couldn't care less.  If you could care less, that means you care.  In 100 years of basketball we had 3, now we've had 2 in as many games?  That's awesome regardless of competition, as I am sure over the last 100 years we have played some pretty bad teams.

before last week we only had 3 players achieve this in our entire HISTORY. that is with some really talented players and against some really weak competition at times. triple doubles are rare. it doesn't matter what the circumstances are. it's like knocking a pitchers perfect game because it came against a shitty opponent. who cares, it's still rare.

That was annoying.  Michigan won by over 50 points and a player achieved a historic feat (triple-double), and he kept trying to take a giant shit all over it.  Hence the deserved downvoting.

I mean sure, YSU is terrible, and yes, this Michigan team still has a lot of unanswered questions, but this just isn't the time to be bitchy.

It's a picture I took of him when I was in the Big House in the student section. I'd have to say currently he is my favorite player on the team and has been. I just wish they had some serious threats down low on offense and defense.

I'll take 2 triple doubles.

It's great whenever and however we win.

Our team is still growing/developing and recent competition is well lower than B1G however, I see this team with a few 'surprise' wins in it ~ there's a positive attitude growing with this group...

Go Walton!

Go LeVert!

Go Blue!

Good for him and good for the team. All the hard work and so little appreciation for this team. I hope they stay healthy and keep improving and put the naysayers to rest.

Watching the game, it was clear that the last part of the triple double was manufactured.  Walton's last couple of rebounds were a result of (a) YSU trying to get back in transition, (b) Michigan players boxing out the couple of YSU guys who hung around, and (c) nobody else on Michigan going for the loose ball.  The players clearly knew what was up -- Walton even said so after the fact.  But the 13 assists -- in 29 minutes -- is pretty phenomenal on its own.

Anyway, that should take nothing away from the accomplishment.  It's still pretty awesome to do something that's only been done four other times in the 100-year history of Michigan basketball.. and it's also great to see the way that this team pulls for each other.  Instead of trying to pad their own stats, the other four guys on the floor were content to let Walton get a piece of history.  That speaks to team chemsitry, and it will be vital this year in trying to make sure one loss doesn't become 2, 3, or 4 in a row.
